Gnohere honourary card count 05/06
Tuesday, 5th Jun 2007 09:59

In honour of possibly the most leaden footed, ill disciplined, light fingered (allegedly) defender to wear the Hoops for some time, we bring you a comprehensive list of every card picked up by QPR during the 2005/06 season. With thanks to W7 for the brain wave.

Gareth Ainsworth
Yellow cards 5

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Crude challenge in injury time.

Against... Preston A
Referee... Mike Pike
What the hell for? Dived full length to try and punch in Kevin Gallen's cross with his fist. Missed and was booked for being a prat!

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Nasty over the ball challenge on David Norris. He showed Norris all six of his studs before digging them into the Plymouth midfielder's thigh.

Against... Stoke A
Referee... Andre Marriner
What the hell for? Off the ball incident while waiting for a QPR corner, Ainsworth appeared to lash out at chronic wind up merchant John Halls. After consultation with the linesman a yellow card was produced. Sadly Halls was later sent off, my heart bleeds.

Against... Millwall H
Referee... Alan Wiley
What the hell for? Pretty harsh decision this one. Right at the end of the game Lawrence grabbed Ainsworth round the face after a tackle and Ainsworth pushed him away. Gareth got a card, Lawrence didn't.

Served one match ban v Sheff Utd A for five bookings.

Shabazz Baidoo
Yellow cards 2

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Squaring up to Paul Connolly after a tackle. Nothing in it, harsh decision.

Against... Brighton H
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Got involved in some afters after Lomas had fouled Gatting. Needs to learn to stay out of things like this.

Stefan Bailey
Yellow cards 2

Against... Derby H
Referee... Trevor Kettle
What the hell for? Big hit on Richard Jackson.

Against... Norwich A
Referee... Brian Curson
What the hell for? Accused Huckerby of diving, which he had done, and was confronted by Dickson Etuhu. A fight ensued and both players were booked.

Marcus Bean
Yellow cards 4

Against... Northampton A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? A nothing shoulder push on halfway. It wasn't even a foul.

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Tripped Tony Capaldi.

Against... Stoke A
Referee... Andre Marriner
What the hell for? Late tackle from behind on Dave Brammer.

Against... Brighton A
Referee... Rob Styles
What the hell for? Late tackle on Richard Carpenter just before half time. Bean was lucky to escape punishment earlier when his lunge on Oatway saw the Brighton man stretchered off.

Marcus Bignot
Yellow cards 3

Against... Coventry A
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Tripped Adebola as the striker bore down on goal. Spared a red as the ball was running away from the danger zone

Against... Palace H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Terrible foul on Marco Reich who'd made him look rather stupid.

Against... Norwich H
Referee... Ray Olivier
What the hell for? Foul on Hukcerby in the first half.

Marc Bircham
Yellow cards 6

Against... Sheff Utd H
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Bad tackle

Against... Southampton A
Referee... Richard Beeby
What the hell for? Tackle from behind on Ricardo Fuller.

Against... Luton H
Referee... Mike Thorpe
What the hell for? Deliberate handball preventing a Luton break.

Against... Leeds H
Referee... Peter Walton
What the hell for? Bad tackle from behind.

Against... Palace H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Cynically hauled Morrison back after the striker ran past him. Did exactly the same thing 2 minutes later but D'Urso let him off, lucky not to be sent off.

Against... Crewe H
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Wild two footed lunge on Steve Jones down on the touchline.

Served one match ban v Preston A for five bookings.

Lee Cook
Yellow cards 3

Against... Hull City A
Referee... Dermot Gallagher
What the hell for? Two footed tackle

Against... Leeds H
Referee... Peter Walton
What the hell for? Kicking the ball away, don't you just love it when players use their brains!

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Lost his rag with the referee and David Norris in first halfstoppage time. All the toys came out the pram and a handbag was swung.

Tommy Doherty
Red Cards 1

Against... Luton H
Referee... Mike Thorpe
What the hell for? Thumping Chris Coyne in an off the ball incident.

Yellow cards 2

Against... Ipswich H
Referee... Keith Stroud
What the hell for? Bad tackle followed by the usual round of handbags and strangulation

Against... Plymouth H
Referee... Matt Messias
What the hell for? Very bad tackle on Buzasky, seeking retribution for an earlier foul that went unpunished.

Lloyd Dyer
Yellow Cards 3

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Fouling Nick Chadwick. The two of them ran for the same ball and wen shoulder to shoulder, Chadwick (who is about twice the size of Dyer) hit the deck immediately. Very, very harsh decision.

Against... Preston H
Referee... Dermott Gallagher
What the hell for? Fouled David Nugent in stoppage time.

Against... Hull H
Referee... Phill Crossley
What the hell for? Tripped Ryan France.

Ian Evatt
Red Cards 1

Against... Northampton A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Allegedly brought down Kirk as the last defender but as he didn't bring him down and wasn't the last man it's a joke decision.

Yellow Cards 1

Against... Crewe H
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Copnceded possession deep in his own half after miscontrolling a throw from Ainsworth, david Vaughan robbed him so he cynically pulled him bacvk to prevent him breaking through on goal. Easy decision for the referee.

Paul Furlong
Red Cards 2

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Two bookings, see below.

Against... Derby A
Referee... Kevin Wright
What the hell for? Seeking revenge on Emerson Thome. The big defender spent half an hour battering Furlong with no come back from the referee and then Furs snapped, brutally attacking the Brazilian as he ran past him. Silly sending off, but one that could have been avoided if the referee had been less of a homer.

Yellow Cards 7

Against... Luton H
Referee... Mike Thorpe
What the hell for? Going in on keeper Marlon Beresford with a high boot - the ball was loose and the decision was a harsh one.

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Not sure, he tackled Maybury who then turned round and kicked him in the chest. Maybury was sent off but Furlong was booked too. Strange.

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Pushed over Jorey Gudjohnson off the ball. Second yellow of the match = red.

Against... Palace H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Absolutely nothing. Brushed against Kiraly before a corner and both players bizarrely ended up getting booked, crap decision.

Against... Plymouth H
Referee... Matt Messias
What the hell for? Late challenge on Norris.

Against... Hull H
Referee... Phil Crossley
What the hell for? Shocking two footed tackle on Damien Delaney as the full back cleared his lines. Lucky not to be sent off.

Against... Ipswich A
Referee... Matt Messias
What the hell for? Went in very late on keeper Lewis price, badly cutting the keeper's head. Very fortunate not to be sent off.

Served one match ban for Leicester sending off (Millwall away), served four matches for Derby sending off( Watford A, Reading H, Plymouth A, Preston H) and served one match for five bookings (Coventry H)

Kevin Gallen
Red Cards 1

Against... Brighton H
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? After a little niggly challenege on halfway Gallen chased Brighton centre half Paul McShane down the pitch. He swung and missed on route but foolishly had a second dig off the ball and belted the Brighton man straight in the face. Absolutely criminally stupid.

Yellow Cards 2

Against... Reading H
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Tackle from behind on Steve Sidwell.

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Terrible over the ball tackle on Hasney Aljofree.

Missed Cardiff away, Stoke and Crewe at home for the Brighton sending off.

Richard Langley
Yellow Cards 3

Against... Cardiff H
Referee... Mike Thorpe
What the hell for? Slid into a challenege on Koumas. Seemed to take a bit of the ball but Koumas flung himself to the floor and rolled over and over and over, it looked like he was genuinly hurt. Then again, that would be forgetting who Jason Koumas is, and the whining, snivelling little whinge bag was back on his feet as soon as the card had been handed out, ready to smack the free kick narrowly wide of the post.

Against... Luton A
Referee... Phil Crossley
What the hell for? Seemed to get fouled by Nicholls on halfway, then won the ball back, then Nicholls turned round and grabbed him by the throat when Langley went to help him up. The rather perplexing result was a Luton free kick and a harsh booking for Langers.

Against... Sheff Utd A
Referee... Kevin Friend
What the hell for? Slammed into Michael Tonge as the United player tried to turn on the ball. Pretty bad foul but it was a first offence and he can count himself a little unlucky considering some of the stuff Tonge himself had been allowed to get away with to this point.

Steve Lomas
Yellow Cards 2

Against... Leeds A
Referee... Peter Walton
What the hell for? After being on the receiving end of a horrible tackle from Shaun Derry Lomas squared up to the Leeds man and both players were booked.

Against... Sheff Utd A
Referee... Kevin Friend
What the hell for? Dissent. Nick Montgomery spent most of the first half running round cynically hacking into QPR players and after the umpteenth incident like this again failed to bring a card for the home player Steve lost his rag a little bit and demanded the United player be booked.

Mauro Milanese
Yellow cards 6

Against... Coventry A
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Desperate lunge on McSheffrey

Against... Stoke A
Referee... Andre Marriner
What the hell for? Cynically hauled Sam bangoura down after the striker had run past him.

Against... Ipswich A
Referee... Matt Messias
What the hell for? After three fouls on Billy Clarke Milanese upended Forster cynically and was rightly booked.

Against... Blackburn A
Referee... Andre Marriner
What the hell for? Fouled David Thompson, a free kick but not a booking.

Against... Millwall H
Referee... Alan Wiley
What the hell for? Kicked his man up in the air and got a warning, two minutes later cynically hauled him back and was carded. Still, better this than Matthew Rose waving them through.

Against... Palace A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Got skinned by Wayne Andrews, so gave him a good hard kick.

Served one match ban for five bookings v Sheff Utd A

Adam Miller
Yellow cards 1

Against... Northampton A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Two footed challenege, although it only involved one foot, came from the front and took the ball. Another Andy Hall classic.

Stefan Moore
Yellow cards 1

Against...Northampton A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Sod all.

Marc Nygaard
Red Cards 1

Against...Watford H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Two bookings - see below.

Yellow cards 4

Against...Palace A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Had a bit of a set to with Leigertwood in the second half. There was a lot of posturing and verbals but little else and frankly a quiet word would have sufficed. That's never been Mr Hall's style though has it> Both players were booked.

Against...Sheff Utd A
Referee... Kevin Friend
What the hell for? Dissent. After yet another foul from Montgomery failed to lead to a booking Nygaard seemed to be asking what the hell it would take for Mr Friend to strap a pair on and book one of Warnock's players, like Lomas he was booked for his cheek.

Against...Watford H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Over celebrating would you believe it! Stepped up to take a first half penalty which resulted in cries of "no not him" from the QPR fans. His relief at the success caused him to rip his shirt off and whirl it around his head. D'Urso immediately produced the yellow cards - reports that D'Urso got so much pleasure out of the pettiness of it all that he had to go off at half time and pelasure himself are as yet unconfirmed.

Against...Watford H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Fighting/dissent. Still pumped up from his goal and subsequent booking Nygaard got involved in an incident betwee Henderson and Shittu, arguing with the referee and fighting the Watford players. 2 yellows = red.

Suspended for Reading away for red card v Watford

Matthew Rose
Yellow cards 1

Against... Leicester H
Referee...Mick Thorpe
What the hell for? Got caught out with a long cross field pass that found him out of position, then got skinned by Alan Maybury (well known tricky, pacy winger) then tried to keep him by the corner flag, then let him slip through towards goal again and finally hauled him down to complete a trademark piece of crap defending and earn a booking.

Martin Rowlands
Yellow cards 4

Against... Ipswich H
Referee... Keith Stroud
What the hell for? Tired, mistimed tackle in injury time

Against... Stoke A
Referee... Andre Marriner
What the hell for? Dissent. Rowlands spoke out of turn after Ian Evatt was harshly adjudged to have fouled Sidibe on the edge of the penalty area.

Against... Coventry H
Referee... Uriah Rennie
What the hell for? Foul on Gary McSheffrey.

Against... Brighton A
Referee... Rob Styles
What the hell for? Foul on Gary Hart, his first offence in the game. Vintage Styles.

Simon Royce
Red card 1

Against... Coventry H
Referee... Uriah Rennie
What the hell for? Hacked down McSheffrey with a knee high two footed lunge as the striker ran through on goal. Penalty given, Royce off, Rangers lost 1-0. Referee had little option.

Yellow cards 2

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Time wasting - he dallied over the taking of a goal kick but as Leicester were making a sub at the time he couldn't have played on anyway. Crap decision.

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Hacked down David Norris in the penalty area, only a yellow because the Argyle man was heading away from goal. Wottton scored the resulting penalty.

Served one match ban for Plymouth sending off (Brighton A).

Georges Santos
Yellow cards 7

Against... Hull City A
Referee... Dermot Gallagher
What the hell for? Robust body check on McPhee

Against... Southampton A
Referee... Richard Beeby
What the hell for? Atrocious two footed challenge on Ricardo Fuller, could have been a red.

Against... Leicester A
Referee... Colin Webster
What the hell for? Terrible two footed lunge on Iain Hume.

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Kicking the ball away in dissent after being flagged offside three times in three minutes.

Against... Coventry H
Referee... Uriah Rennie
What the hell for? Slid in on Andrew Whing, but the Coventry full back was well on his way down before Georges arrived and the decision to book the Rangers man was very harsh.

Against... Leicester H
Referee... Mick Thorpe
What the hell for? Typically late, mistimed hit on Chris O'Grady, summed up Georges' night.

Against... Norwich A
Referee... Brian Curson
What the hell for? Booked in the second half for a series of fouls. To be honest his horrible tackle on Earnshaw in the first half was worthy of a red on its own so he was lucky to last into the second half without a card.

Served one match ban for five bookings(Brighton A)

Dominic Shimmin
Yellow cards 1

Against... Coventry A
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Foul

Danny Shittu
Red Cards 1

Against... Coventry A
Referee... Tony Leake
What the hell for? Bringing down Adebola when he was the last defender

Yellow cards 7

Against... Ipswich H
Referee... Keith Stroud
What the hell for? Big hit

Against... Luton H
Referee... Mike Thorpe
What the hell for? Kicking the ball away, very harsh decision.

Against... Millwall A
Referee... Dermot Gallagher
What the hell for? According to the commentary it was dissent although I'm happy to be corrected on this!

Against... Palace H
Referee... Andy D'Urso
What the hell for? Brutal body check on Jobi McAnuff.

Against... Plymouth A
Referee... Steve Tanner
What the hell for? Hacked down David Norris.

Against... Luton A
Referee... Phil Crossley
What the hell for? Body checked Steve Howard on the corner of the penalty area. Despite being a big tough guy Howard certainly knows his way to the floor and showed it here. A free kick, but a very harsh booking.

Against... Sheff Utd A
Referee... Kevin Friend
What the hell for? Dissent. After the farcical awarding of a penalty to Sheff Utd Danny told Mr Friend exactly what he thought of him and became the third player on the day to be booked for mouthing off.

Served one match ban for 5 yellows v Hull City at home.

Dean Sturridge
Yellow cards 1

Against... Southampton A
Referee... Richard Beeby
What the hell for? Obstructing the taking of a free kick by standing in front of the ball for sixty seconds while trying to line the wall up. Idiotic!

Ugo Ukah
Yellow cards 1

Against... Northampton A
Referee... Andy Hall
What the hell for? Brought down Sabin in injury time to concede a penalty. Rangers claimed sabin dived. By the letter of the law, as the last man, he should have been sent off.
