Not sure any ref could have seen that, if anything it's down to the lino to call it. Does twist the knife even more though that after all the penalties over the weekend that was the most stonewall of all of them yet we didn't get it. |  |

Charlie's a bit like mackie it that regard and doesn't look to maximise opportunity. Vargas would have gone down as would any modern day player with a knowledge of how to influence the ref. you get nothing for honesty these days. |  | | |

The clearance by Skrtel to stop Vargas heading home was dangerous play, his feet were up about 5 foot and stopped Vargas connecting with his header. To make it worse they then broke down the other end and scored the second. Dowd was reluctant to give us anything and turned a blind eye to tugs and pushes by Liverpool, even MOTD said that Coutinho should have been booked, his second and therefore off. |  |
