Shame , maybe the lad was Homesick and couldn't settle ,
shades of Paul Wright maybe (remember him )

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

No big loss in the grand scheme, need to get a few CB's in though. Whether Donaladson was anywhere near getting a game was debatable

Or, and not quite sure how to put this... not quite good enough?

I only saw him in the Southend friendly last year but he looked miles away from the first team .

Only saw him once and wasn't impressed.

I think with any youth team player at the mo - if they aren't in the reckoning for the team now with a youth focused coach, low expectations and a threadbare squad, when will they be?

Two goals at Forest to draw 2-2 from being 2-0 down if memory serves me right.

Struggling to remember anything else he did of note

Scored twice on his debut against Palace on the first day of the season in 1990. Saw Donaldon's only first team game away at Barnsley a couple of seasons back on the last day of the season and he reminded me of Gus Ceasar.

yep was there for that game DW, he also smashed home a penalty in the 3-2 win over Liverpool , at the time i really thought we had a poacher on our hands, then we lost him , Reid, Allen, Spackman, thank fcuk for Don Howe who came in and gave us Wegerle, & Wilkins

And a deflected free kick that Grobbelaar, ahem, failed to save.

1989. I remember it because I was in Ireland for a wedding on that day.

Paul Wright "scored" an absolute beast of a goal at Bentford if memory serves me well.

It was a preseason friendly and that boy had one hell of a rocket shot on him.
The ball was travelling so hard and fast it hit the stanchion at the back of the goal and bounced back out and the ref waved play on.

Ended up at Dundee I think

Sorry and on Coll Donaldson....

Didn't we supposedly "fight off" Notts Forest?
Didn't we spend £200k on a transfer fee?
Another lump in wages no doubt?

Fcuk me we are masters in burning cash

the main thing is we have an abundance of defenders in a myriad of positions across the back four , that can cater for any eventuality .

one often thinks of the ancient hindi proverb when looking at the defensive personell at the club .

"infinite diversity in infinite combinations, symbolosing the elements that create truth and beauty"....

and a seat away to fleetwood next season.

thats the main thing..

can grey friars bobby play right back or centre half?

Paul Wright, according to my girlfriend (a Kilmarnock supporter), is an absolute legend. 58 goals in 148 appearances for Killie between 1995 and 2001.

As for Coll Donaldson, I saw him once at Barnsley away. Didn't think he did too badly.

Paul Wright was class!
Coll Donaldson (unfortunately) isn't.
Wish the lad well though, sure he's going back up tae Scotland.
I have a funny feeling that this will be Ryan Manning, next year.

Training with them in Holland, they have an eye for a player from the lower leagues so will be interesting to see how he gets on.
I thought Man Utd were interested in him and had him on trial Lblock? Livingston were in all sorts of financial trouble at the time so the fee was important to them, they have produced a few good player so not a surprise they had scouts watching their squad.
