Anything that winds up misogynists has to be good so I'm all in favour.

They've been hinting at it a lot in the last series, will be worth seeing how she does

Can't wait for the first homosexual Dr Who. The Sun headline writes itself: 'Gaylord!'

I think it'll be fine. Just point her at the Daleks - I get the feeling their brains might melt as they try to compute the sex change.

'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Depends on the time of month. Otherwise we are all exterminated.

Anyways. How much weight is Washington carrying these days?

(Phew. Safer ground)

Allthough originaly started as a litehearted thread, I would love to know your definition of "Misogynist"?
Most of the women I love are female. Except that time in Bankok but lets not go there.
Why is it so easy to ist or Ism people these days?

12 blokes have had a crack at the Daleks and Cybermen without sorting them. Seems fair to let a woman have a crack

Dr who has beaten the regeneration odds for long enough, Try doing heads or tails and getting heads 11 times on the trot

Absolutely amazing that a doctor could be a woman! Surely she should be a nurse?

Not surprised that it's a woman who's been chosen, but pretty surprised that it's Jodie Whitaker - in a previous job (four or five years ago) I would see and speak to her most days. Lovely and very down to earth she is - which is hardly surprising, as she's from Huddersfield - but not the most at ease person when it came to interacting with members of the general public who might know her from her work. Back then, she was only known for 'Venus' and 'Attack The Block' but that was enough for some people to do the recognition thing. Maybe she's better equipped to handle the attention these days, she must certainly reckon so.

Seeing as Bondites went off the deep end when 'blond' Daniel Craig got the nod, I shudder to think their reaction if Idris Elba takes it. His to lose apparently!

What with M having recently been a woman, the current Q being a bit foppish and Moneypenny also being from an ethnic minority, any thoughts Remainers had of over-turning Brexit by calling a second referendum, will be snuffed out if Elba is confirmed.

As for Dr. Who, I am with Hendrix on this, utter gash! And seriously, have the BBC got nothing better to do than try elevate this to being a newsworthy item?

Stopped being good when Mary Whitehouse and her god botherer's nerfed it like SPG's on World of Tanks.

Heard the new one is ok though.
