I missed this - might try to catch up on iplayer. Shanks seems a lovely chap and this good publicity for Stan.
I absolutely love Robert's show and envy the man, frankly. Maybe he is deeply unhappy, but if he is, he hides it well, and he seems to have a ridiculously interesting, appealing life. Perhaps he is a bit "Marmite"( I like that, too), but then everyone in the public eye seems to be despised by someone. I once had a conversation about this at work and we tried to think of someone everybody liked, agreeing on David Attenborough. Then someone piped up,"I f@cking hate David Attenborough!"
