Great track.

Love it. One of my favourite bands ever. Have to pinch myself to recall I saw them at Bardney in 1971 - no Dave Crosby then though.

I saved their greatest hits from the dustbin (literally) they have some great tunes.

I remember this version Not what I was expecting.

I don't know much about them to be honest.

Bit of a different take but always liked this angry Husker Du cover in the teenage years...

Sorry for posting those last two as replies. My mistake.

I could post Byrds songs here all night. In just over three years, they went on one of the most extraordinary hot streaks in pop history. Two albums in 1965, within six months of each other — Mr Tambourine Man and Turn! Turn! Turn!. Then Fifth Dimension in 1966, expanding further into psychedelia on Younger Than Yesterday in 1967, then the incredible pair in 1968 — again just six months apart: The Notorious Byrd Brothers is an almost perfect album, and they managed to turn sharply left to invent country rock on Sweetheart of the Rodeo. Amazing. Peerless. One of the very greatest groups.

That's sent me down a Byrds-related rabbit hole. Here's an amazing clip of Gram Parsons and Emmylou Harris doing the trucking anthem Six Days on the Road.

And an extraordinary and baffling promo clip flimed aboard a cabin cruiser of the Flying Burrito Brothers doing Older Guys.

Proto Motley Crue vids (check out the 80's ones)

I loved the way the one before cut to random bad country.

It's not a bad tune to be fair.

Never seen that before, great find.

Good thread.

Love the stuff done by the original line up - McGuinn, Crosby, Clark,
Hillman and the short-lived Clarence White inspired line up did some great stuff too.

Their drummer clearly has the funk. Nice one.

"Random bad country"??????

It cuts to Hot Burrito No 1, which is an ABSOLUTELY BLOODY INCREDIBLE AND HEARTBREAKING song.
