....ever played for QPR. I'm afraid to admit this has happened to me on a number of occasions, thought it might be senile dementia, but it's nothing more than sitting at the back of the class and falling asleep.

Mikkel Beck

But yes, bit of a strange one this. Trying to remember players that you forgot played for QPR.

Maybe obscure or unusual appearances?

Just been looking up Scottish strikers on Wiki and saw that Alan Brazil played 4 times for us.

You need to explain yourself, Headmaster Norf ain't going to be too pleased with you wasting computer resource time on that!

Colin Viljoen

Played in a pre-season friendly at Brightons Goldstone ground must have been late 70's

We lost and he never signed

On a similar vein.

'Just one Massimo (Mauro) give him to me, on a free transfer from Italy'.

Saw him pre-season don the hoops at Griffin Park, was this his only appearance for us?

a few in that first year back in Division Three and really can't remember their names.

An Australian midfielder who I think ended up behind bars back in his native country and an Arabic centre back who wasn't too fond of heading a ball. Actually liked both of them and most of that side when it was hard to see anything other than another relegation at the start of that season.

It is only because of the very sad news that I knew that Liam Miller played for us. I still can't remember him at Rangers!

When I first looked at that thread, I was convinced that this was Adam Miller who we signed fron Aldershot(?).

Yes Terry, the other thread isn't the place for it but such a highly rated player in his early days he never really shone wherever he played. Seems odd that his 76 or so games for Hibs was his most for any of the clubs he was at, although Hibs fans appreciated his quality it wasn't on show every game and frustrated many. When he left you could see the loss of class though.

Wasn't Paul Bruce reputed to have " the hardest shot in football ". We didn't see much of it.

Hardest shot in football belonged to this giant.

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Think the Aussie was called Richard Johnson.

Can't remember the name of the Arab player, but do remember him. I seem to recall that Clive was quite a fan of his. Hamir or Samir or something like that maybe?

I struggled for ages to remember his name but eventually got there, I give you Paul Bruce! a contemporary of that eternal "prospect" Michael Mahoney-Johnson. I checked on Wiki and he made 37 appearances in the hoops and I struggle to remember even one of them.

Scored for struggling QPR when we beat Middlesbrough 5-1.

Another one just popped in to my head when Ben Askar was mentioned; Rachid Harkouk. Loved porridge.

Try as I might, I can't forget that Robert Taylor played for us. The worst Rangers player I've ever seen, like a hooped iceberg (or fatberg).

Terry McQuade? Seth Vafiadis? Dick Whittaker? Malcolm Graham? Pat Brady? Ray Brady ?.....1962, 1963, 64. Truly shockingly awful players ........ but such a lot of fun to watch along with Brian Bedford scoring off every part of his body but his feet.

Beam me back to the three bob terracing please.

you're thinking of Mauro Milanese.

The guy who played the pre-season friendly at Brentford was Massimo Mauro and he played for Napoli.
I was also at that game at Brentford and he was fantastic. It really looked like we'd found the younger version of Ray Wilkins that we so desperately needed at that time.
Wasn't Simon Barker on trial at a different club during that pre-season as well?

An awful lot of players we had in the Dowie / Magilton / Gregory era are very forgettable.
Danny Cullip, Nick Ward, Inigo Idiakez etc
