I don't see any problem with it - but reading that it seems that we now need to fill two coaching posts which obviously needs sorted.

He's not replacing Fleming. He's helping out whilst a replacement is found.

It's all there in the article beyond the headline.

Purely temporary.

"Manager Ian Holloway is looking to install a replacement for Fleming, who has taken a coaching role at Middlesbrough.

In the meantime, former head coach Ramsey has been asked to help out."

Is it true that he's going to establish sharia law at Loftus Road?

They probably don't want Ollie recruiting any more coaching staff prior to his departure at the end of the season.

Not sure thats true, I think Holloway is being allowed to bring more in but in the short term is using Ramsey to help out

Ok. But do you think anyone currently employed in a similar role is likely to come here for less than a third of the season, given all the uncertainty about the summer?
My bet is that CR will end up being required for the duration.

Not sure there is that much uncertainty, If recent form continues then I think Holloway will stay, he's doing exactly the job they asked him to at the moment

While I still have a lot of reservations about Holloway, if we finish where we are now there's a good case to be made for keeping him on.

I dont know why Ramsey gets such a hard time of it on here. I still think he was given an impossible job when appointed manager. He's been loyal to the club and always done what was asked of him.
Yet again he seems to have put his non-existent ego to one side and helping out the club.
He's a good football man and im glad he's here.
I can actually see him taking over from Ollie tbh. Which is probably a better time for him to manage us than when he took over last time.

Agreed. Thoroughly decent and honourable man and excellent coach who has been doing great things to improve the development squad in such a short space of time.

Never knowingly understood

Took over from Redknapp in Febraury, bit harsh to judge him on where we finished in the PL that season...

Either way most will have opinions firmly set already but as above he's been mostly excellent for us and by all accounts to those that know what they're talking about he's a brilliant youth coach. I don't think it's any surprise that our youth system is in the best situation it's been in for decades and he's clearly a big part of that.

Makes sense to get someone internally to cover the gap left by Fleming and re-assess at the end of the season. Especially helpful that we have so many youth players in and around the 1st team and matchday squad, players Ramsey will know very well.

Are you honestly saying that was all down to Ramsey?
The damage was already done. In fact i think we can all agree that the damage started the day we first went up.
I wanted it to work for Ramsey as he was an honest football coach who was the complete opposite to Redknapp. In hindsight he probably wasnt the right appointment at the time. Too many egos maybe and TF unrealistic expectations.
Im not saying Ramsey should be the next manager im just saying i can see the board appointing him again. Although the timing of Ramsey this time is better than last if you catch my drift.

You can't blame Ramsey for that. Redcrapp caused the problems and Bungle chose to risk relegation rather than try to hire a good experienced manager to replace him.

How Ramsey did as a manager is irrelevant to how he will do as a coach, two completely different jobs. Some people are more suited to a coaching role
