Very sad to hear about the loss of Geoff Emerick this morning. RIP. Was very lucky to meet him at the recent Chicago Fest For Beatles Fans and even more lucky to spend two hours sitting just with him in the hotel bar talking about where we grew up, which was really close to each other, football, food and life in general. In fact very little time was spent talking Beatles. Just shooting the breeze and having a bit of a laugh about the craziness of life. Great loss of a very interesting, hugely talented and revolutionary man who helped shaped the sound of The Beatles and brought through a number of younger sound engineers into the business over the following decades. |  |
