The one where Leroy scored a couple of beauties.
My daughter was mascot so we got free tickets in South Africa Rd.She said that my behaviour was embarrassing and that she’d never go with me again.
What did she expect?We beat the scum 3-1.
I brought my niece and nephew to their first ever game on Saturday and they were bored,cold and soaking wet after 45 minutes,and they wanted to go home.
Three goals in 10 minutes in the 2nd half meant they were cold,soaking wet and saying it was the best day of their short lives.
Thank you Rangers for turning what could’ve been their last ever game into such a brilliant 45 minutes.

Took the missus to the 1-1 draw with Blackburn in 2016 when Chery scored that great free kick and was sitting right behind it. At HT she went out to get a beer and wanted to bring it back to the seat, which of course wasn't allowed. In Oz, there's no such problem. So, that was the last game she wanted to attend.

Took my then girlfriend - now wife - in 1992. QPR 4 - 0 Man City. Took my Mrs (whose family largely have little interest in football) to her first game in the promotion season under Warnock. Beat Coventry at home Adel was ace and Marlon King was getting pelters "She said no Marlon she said no". She was actually humming it for days later. In the time since she has braved sub zero temperatures to watch Gabbidon get a late winner in the cup vs MK Dons although she did threaten to break up with me in the Upper Loft if it went to extra time. She's done a few others including Bobby Zamora day and although I dont think she's totally converted she says she gets why I go and will try and get the little man to wear his shirt when she can.
She's done about 10 games and i think has only seen us lose once maybe twice
Think her best.moment was when at a work Pub Quiz her and another girl were chosen to go head to head in a tie break on Sport as both teams drew. Prize was half day off and all expenses lunch drinks etc. "Which London football club play at Loftus Road" ....

When she was still only my girlfriend and at home in Ireland for Xmas, her flight arriving back in to LHR late on NY Day 1993 it was Manure 1 QPR 4. Go figure.

My wife has been to Loftus Road quite a few times with me, one of the most recent being the hammering we received at the hands of the Boro. She posted on Facebook from the ground, saying she was at the football but dressed for skiing. Well, it was glacial that day, and our performance did nothing to warm up the fans.

While on loan to Hull City, King was alleged to have headbutted teammate Dean Windass in a casino in Scarborough. Hull City stated that the matter had been dealt with internally, and both players remained with the club.[63] Windass later described the incident as a "storm in a teacup".
As of October 2009, King had convictions for 14 offences.[64][65] He received fines, driving bans, community service sentences, a rehabilitation order and orders to pay compensation on convictions including: theft from a person and from a car, criminal damage, and attempting to obtain property by deception; fraudulent use of vehicle licence document, driving without insurance, speeding, drink driving; a wounding incident while playing amateur football, and two cases involving assault of young women rejecting his advances in the Soho area of London.
Three cases led to imprisonment. In May 2002 he received an eighteen-month prison sentence for receiving stolen goods, in relation to a BMW convertible that he was found driving, but was found not guilty of a charge of assaulting a police officer in a related case. His solicitor commented that "His reputation will be tarnished forever, whatever success he achieves, he'll always be referred to in a Tyson-esque way as someone who has had a criminal past and that is a considerable penalty."[66][67] Gillingham continued to pay his salary while he was in jail, and supported in his appeal, which resulted in the sentence being reduced to nine months, with King being released on licence after five months, returning to the Gillingham team within two days of his release.[68]
In December 2008, again in the Soho area, King was arrested on suspicion of punching a 20-year-old female university student in the face, causing a broken nose and split lip for which she was treated in hospital. He was later convicted of sexual assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and sentenced to 18 months in prison and placed on the Sex Offender Register for seven years.[69] Wigan Athletic immediately initiated the cancellation of his contract.[20] King’s agent, Tony Finnigan, said he was confident that his client would find a club on his release,[70] and accused the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) of failing to offer support. Gordon Taylor, the chief executive of the PFA, said that the PFA did not represent players when they have broken the law and been convicted on non-footballing matters. It would support members with anger management or other issues if approached but no approach had been made by King.[17] After his release, King made an appeal against the conviction which was unsuccessful.[71]
King was arrested and bailed once more in April 2013 after a car crash which left one man seriously injured,[72] and in July of the same year, he was again arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident which had left a second man injured.[73] King pleaded 'not guilty' to the first incident in November of the same year and had a trial date set for March 2014.[74] On 15 May 2014, King of Torksey, Lincolnshire, was sentenced to 18 months in prison and banned from driving for three years.[2] |  |

I took my girlfriend (now the current Mrs Hants) to a couple of matches when SAR was all standing but being 5'4", she simply couldn't see over the heads of the crowd (it was always very crowded). It was of course, very loud and atmospheric and last Saturday's atmosphere was so evocative of those halcyon days.
I also went with her and another girl to a game at Palarse - it was the first time they'd ever been to a game and friend exclaimed loudly, "ooh I ve never seen it in colour before"
I've mentioned on these pages before that she accompanied me to that game at Derby, when we won 5-1 and, being surrounded by home fans, was a bit scared of the glares directed our way as I could only whoop with joy at Stan's hat trick. | | | |
