Does anyone know when we will hear if our league match against Lids in February is to be switched for Sky coverage?

That's dependent on it actually taking place on the date due to the FA Cup.

The supposed deadline for the rest of Feb and early March was tomorrow. They may well hold out until Monday to see who's deffo out the Cup

I have always wondered about this "Sky Sports Leeds". So, a bit bored this morning while having my coffee, I decided to tabulate the number of games SSL shows each club. Up to the end of Jan and not including those listed for Feb so far..

Top few -
Leeds 14 games shown
West Brom 10
Villa and Sheffield Utd 9
Derby and Borough 8

At the bottom -
Preston 1 (yes, they do get the first game in Feb)
Bristol City, Hull, Ipswich, Rotherham, Wigan and QPR all on 2!
Blackburn, Bolton, Millwall and Reading all on 3.

That is, seven of the clubs have been shown, in total, less times than Leeds.

If there is a payment to those clubs who are shown, whether home or away, perhaps all those in the bottom should consider taking some action against Sky for obvious bias. Note that all of the few clubs located in the lower part of the country (Norwich were shown 4 times) are getting the least number of views.

Of course, this means we are getting more 3pm kickoffs on a Saturday. So really cannot complain. But, is the club missing out on money they should be getting?

Steve Bruce will take charge of his first Steel City Derby as Hillsborough plays host to the highly-anticipated rivalry live on Sky Sports.

Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United travel to Sheffield Wednesday, under their recently announced new manager, in a 19.45pm kick-off under the lights on Monday 4 March.

Alongside the Sheffield Derby, a further five fixtures have been selected for coverage across February and March, as Nottingham Forest and Derby County clash at the City Ground on Monday 25 February. The Midlands rivals couldn’t be separated in the reverse fixture earlier in the season, with the second meeting due to get underway at 19.45pm.

In Sky Bet League One, Sunderland welcome Accrington Stanley to the Stadium of Light on Friday 15 February, before league leaders Portsmouth travel to Roots Hall to face Chris Powell’s Southend United on Saturday 16 February for a 12.30pm start.

Returning to the Sky Bet Championship, Blackburn Rovers entertain Middlesbrough at Ewood Park the following day, with Rovers manager Tony Mowbray set to go up against his former side. West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United meet in a potential battle for promotion a week later on Saturday 23 February.

One further selection across 22-24 February to be announced in due course with further selections across 1-3 March to be announced in due course.

Quite happy for us to continue to be ignored. Saturday is for football. Do quite enjoy those Saturday night home games though!

On the financial side of it, you've got to offset the match fee you get from Sky with everything you lose by having your game staged on a Thursday night. Fewer home tickets sold, way fewer away tickets sold, less merchandising, food and drink sold, fewer people spending less time in hospitality bars etc etc.

100% same as this red button stuff.

Still a small chance Boro or Brentford could be moved, but hopefully we will be ok.
