well, technically the TV companies pay compensation to do this stuff. Not really their fault. The FL or FA could make stipulations in the contract to stop this sort of thing happening, but they want the money too much.

I guess they'll take it out of the match fee they're getting from BT but there should be a specific bit of that ringfenced for this whenever it happens at every club - not just one with a brilliant CEO acting on its own accord.

Rangers have definitely done same in past as I remember getting refund. Think it might have been wigan away.
