Favourite All-Time QPR XI 20:12 - Aug 20 with 12813 viewsBrianMcCarthy

Not the best XI, but your favourite, the ones you loved, had a little crush on, stuck up for when they hit a rocky patch, the ones that could never, ever do any wrong, no matter what.

Mine:-

-------------------Seaman----------------
Bardsley---Parker---Maddix---Wilson
------------Wilkins---Faurlin-------------
Bowles---------Taarabt---------Thomas
----------------------Les-------------------

That only took me an entire train trip from Dublin to Cork to decide.

Edit: Gallen's gone!

OK, not the best QPR XI, so I suppose my first memory of going down the Bush, must be my favourite players, here goes,
Mike Pinner
Pat Woods
Tony Ingham
Keith Rutter
Ron Hunt
George Petchey
Peter Angell
Jonny Paterson
Archie Andrews
Brian Bedford
Clive Clark
So many fantastic memories of going down the Bush, it's all changed somehow ?

Amazed Heidar hasnt made a few peoples team to be honest!

It was between him and Furlong for me. I love how Furs overcame adversity and a slow start to score some of the most important goals in our recent history. He was a true thoroughbred.

My try...I could probably pick 2/3 sides in honesty but here we go for pure favourites...

GK - Chris Day
LB - Gino Padula
CB - Clint Hill
CB - Danny Shittu
RB - Marcus Bignot
LM - Adel Taarabt (with licence to go wherever the hell he likes...
CM - Alejandro Faurlin
CM - Shaun Derry
RM - Gareth Ainsworth
CF - Paul Furlong
CF - Charlie Austin

Manager - Ian Holloway !

I'm sure this would look completely different after I'm reminded of players I've forgotten at the moment!

Chris Day
Ian Watson
Bobby Hazell
Glen Roeder
Clive Wilson

Gary Waddock
Gerry Francis
Micky Leach
Ale Faurlin

Stan Bowles
Paul Furlong

I think that just about includes players from all decades since the '60's.

Parkes
Bardsley
Dennis
Macca
Parker
Ainsworth
Wilkins
Waddock

Allen, C.
Bowles

Subs: Smithies, Roeder, Wilson, Les, Ale, Tricky and Taarbs,

All blokes I enjoyed watching and Taarbs aside, never once questioned their mindset. Would like to see Hill, Clement, Currie, Hazell B, The Lord, Francis G, Gallen and Bannister fleshing our the squad.

I don't think I've seen Danny Maddix in anyone's team and he was one of the best man markers in the early days of the premier league.

He’s in at least three teams!

Wonderful defender and a fantastic player for us.

It's changed a lot. This is the side that sold the R's to me.

Allen; Powell G, Jefferson; Powell I, Smith, Farrow; Wardle, Hatton, Addinall, Mills, Hartburn.

I think that's right but it was 72 years ago so possible errors. Tried Googling to no effect.

No FFP concerns if we had that squad today, they'd be worth millions upon millions.

Sad state of affairs when you see Iwobi go for 35 mil, many of the afore mentioned worth much more.
