Bobby Cameron, QPR stalwart of the 1950s 00:15 - Aug 22 with 844 viewsGeorge150666

Hello

I am researching and writing a book about a great footballer of the 1950s and 1960s, Wilbur Cush. In that connection, I am trying to get in touch with Bobby Cameron who played for QPR for almost a decade. Does anyone know anything about Bobby Cameron's whereabouts? Is there a QPR staff member / supporter who takes a particular interest in club history and therefore might be able to help? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you.

George

I saw Bobby Cameron play down the Bush in the 50's

I looked him up on Wikipedia and there is some information about him.

Perhaps you've already looked that up, if so. sorry that's about the best I can say.

If he's still around as it were, a good candidate for the forever R's club?
Likewise Keith Rutter who, afaik, is still with us although getting on a bit.

According to Wikipedia Bobby Cameron is still with us at 86 years old.

He comes from Greenock and his last club was Southend Utd.

Came to us from Port Glasgow. Being Scottish could have gone back to that area or Morton where he was born.
