The early PNE Match Thread 12:06 - Dec 6 with 16873 viewsPinnerPaul

just noticed the odds and thought may as well start the match thread with the post.

Amazingly we are favourites, Preston a big 2/1 to win.

Having said that I'm going for a 1-1 draw tomorrow.

I think I've gone with a 2-2 draw but I can see a win or a loss just as easily too.
Hope that's helped

We have to beat them at some point ffs. Might as well be tomorrow! Think it will be a close fought game but QPR will emerge 3-1 winners.

Knob end have held a bit of a hoodoo over us in recent years - think we will have enough to get a desmond this time around.

Not only will we win, Joe Lumley will save a penalty.
With his face.

Now what odds would you get on that?

Longer odds than you being carted away to the funny farm for your uninhibited use of the words "Lumley" and "save" in the same sentence.

The bookies amaze me sometimes. I'm sure Preston's record at QPR since we came back down is unbeaten(or at least I don't recall us beating them at home recently!) Looks like a great opportunity to double your money.

Of course I'd take a 3-2 win for us! Or any kind of fkin win.

For some reason they do seem to have something over us which is weird because we used to dispatch them quite easily at home.

Time to start winning again and keeping as tight as we tried to be at the back against Derby.

Can't predict, it's fatal.

Never knowingly right.

Preston to score in the 1st minute and hold on to it despite the trainer coming on a record 47 times in each half.Preston also start taking the ball into the corners from the 2nd minute onwards.

They only have to get a lead to shut up shop and time waste as much as they can knowing that the ref will only add on 1 minute in the 1st half and 3 in the 2nd.

Well they are the pioneers and masters of sh1thousery so that sounds about right.

Just need to make sure we score first before they get their obligatory two goals.

They come into this match on the back of three defeats. That tells you everything you need to know. Usually I'm very optimistic but can see nothing but a comfortable home defeat here. 1-3. Happy Christmas.

Let this memory of better times warm your cockles:

I went on a PNE board after that match to soak up some of the anguish. All were despairing the plight of their players against Adel, and how they wished they had somebody like that. Then someone piped up:

"I don't see what the problem is. Why don't we just buy him?"

The reply wasn't long in coming:

"How old are you Sunshine?"

I abhor Preston, i'd rather pin Ker-Plunk sticks through tantric ley lines of my ball sac than lose yet again to them today.

2-0 Hoops, Followed by a piss up in the Mariners watching Joshua on the plasma Ironing out Ruiz Lke Jonathon E in the Tokyo Dome.
