It was bad definitely but the timing of that inadvertent flick on was catastrophic

On the the other hand if Wells looks up in the first half he can square it and 2 nil, game all but over. If he then doesn't miss a header from 4 yards we are again almost over the hill. Not that Wells is to blame. We are the masters of our own downfall. Enough to put Charlton away 2-3 times over and again we didn't do it. Stupid fouls conceded in the last seconds. No real ability to mark up again. Foe me our marking system just isn't right at all. We let players ghost in time after time.

Warburton + today’s goals... on 18:29 - Dec 21 with 3958 views | Watford_Ranger | Feel a bit for him. One poor and one utterly appalling defensive error and that one one one Wells missed should have him giving his wages to charity for the week. Bit of a chaotic game but we should have won about 6-4.

A real shame as Cameron had had an excellent game until then.

Warburton + today’s goals... on 19:16 - Dec 21 with 3706 views | MedwayR | I’m sure that’s the 2nd time I’ve seen us concede due to Cameron & Leistner going for the same ball, Cameron not dealing with it which then leaves Leistner out of position.

It's not even that he has to square it (not that he even looked around mind) - if he wants to be selfish fine, he's a striker, but the strike is so careless and so lazy it's unbelievable.
Warburton + today’s goals... on 22:05 - Dec 21 with 3441 views | Antti_Heinola | I think people are being very harsh on cameron, but there we go. We played out the last 15 mins easily and got done by a bit of a freak goal. Wells was miss was awful, i'm not going to dig him out for not passing though. Strikers should always score from there, not be looking for a pass, but it's the second time this season he's had a chance like that and missed. But why is their goalie so angry with him after the save? Don't get it.

Both misses were bad but the second particularly so. Had he tucked those chances away our porous defence would've been under less pressure in the closing stages. [Post edited 21 Dec 2019 22:33]

For me, Geoff's mistake highlights the lack of composure and organisation in the defensive ranks. There was no need for him to stretch for that ball as it was heading straight to Leistner. A simple bit of communication was all that was needed for QPR to clear its lines.

It was Leistner's header all day, Cameron had no business stretching for it. Nevertheless it's difficult to apportion blame as it's not clear whether Toni called it his. [Post edited 21 Dec 2019 22:35]

I noticed that after his 'assist' Geoff raises his arm appealing for offside! Now that was optimistic.
Warburton + today’s goals... on 23:17 - Dec 21 with 3279 views | VancouverHoop | There was a predictability to this match from to outset. Bar the last ten minutes we dominated the first half. But not because we were playing particularly well, but rather because Charlton were absolutely dreadful. A well drilled team playing with confidence (kind of like QPR back in early October) would have put the game away by the half-hour mark. As it was we let them claw their way into into it, and if not for the introduction of BOS with about 25 minutes to go we'd very likely have lost. We've taken one point out of six from two teams on disastrous runs of form. This doesn't bode well at all.

100% agree - Toni should have called for it and he would have cleared it Not sure if he called or not. Communication needs to improve if we are to get better results.

Agree without BOS coming on and turning the game back in our favour we would have lost. I hope Warburton recruits some good defenders and a leader asap - that's what this team is lacking Also full backs were both very poor Kane was targeted by Charlton Manning has been playing poorly for at least the last 6 weeks - he can't get a decent cross in any more - he seems to always hit the first defender Wells and Hugill have both missed lots of chances this season Wells 2 misses cost us this game

Which one? The header over the bar from 4 yards out or the abysmal 1-on-1 with the keeper? He is dogsh it. [Post edited 22 Dec 2019 10:28]

Not sure Cafu would’ve looked all that with our formation yesterday. Amos was either instructed to not cover the right or just let Kane do it himself.
Warburton + today’s goals... on 13:13 - Dec 22 with 2635 views | BrianMcCarthy | Diamond didn't work again yesterday. Cameron was fine, Amos ok, but Pugh was half a yard off the pace and Eze was isolated until BOS came on. Thought we waited too long to remove Wells and Pugh. 21 shots to 11 57% possession. So why does 2-2 feel like the correct result?
