My deepest sympathies go to mr Mason for having the misfortune to ref his first Man Utd defeat today. I fully expect the Man Utd fans to be singing “sacked in the morning” to him any minute.Lucky they still have Mike Dean in reserve for their next match.
Despite him being the ref who awarded that absolute joke penalty for Ashley Young that day, he's a Bolton fan. Dean is Tranmere.
And the red card for Shaun Derry too. I’m not suggesting for 1 minute that they make decisions to help Man Utd exclusively, but they do tend to favour the biggest clubs in their decision making.Or at least they did before VAR.
