How long before promotion to and relegation from the premier league ceases and it becomes a closed league.

Makes you wonder why anyone thinks getting to the PL is an opportunity to make money.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Piss-take is nowhere near strong enough, four letter words are essential.

Bury, Bolton and Macclesfield all desperately just trying to survive and teams like Chelsea can pay 16 Mill to get rid of a manager.
The Premier League is killing football in the lower leagues... The Elite Player Performance Plan is bordering on criminal.

In Boltons case a lot of their problems have come from what they spent in the Premier League years.

Chelseas spend is based on their income and they bring in a lot more money than those clubs so can afford to spend more

If their income is that great, then why does their owner need to pay in £247 million? Never mind why he is allowed to.

Those other clubs wouldn't be permitted a cash injection a fraction of that figure.

because the EFL are daft and won't allow owners to invest money in clubs anymore?
Rules are different in the prem but if he wants to put his money in not sure what the problem is. Not really any different to how we've been bankrolled and kept out of admin for the last 12 years just on a bigger scale for them

Despite the huge amount of money pouring into the PL, most of the 20 clubs run at a loss.

It's a ridiculously distorted position and the costs of falling off the gravy train can be catastrophic. As we know. And Sunderland, Bolton, Reading, Stoke etc.
