I wonder what obscure and abstract lists we’ll be asked to contemplate after three more weeks of lockdown?
When that little boy ate a bat in Wuhan last year, he clearly didn’t think it through. He’s merely proved the old saying that when a butterfly flaps its wings in China, it causes an earthquake elsewhere to be true.
For clarification purposes: what if you saw a great but he was pants on the day? I only ask as Messi and Best might be struggling otherwise.

It’s just were playing since you were born.
We’ve been doing this for the last three days via WhatsApp and I have to say that picking holes in people’s teams Like when Neil_SI Had about six players who had all played at the same club (some with each other!) and Clives brother, after hours of silence presenting his XI only to have Sol Campbell and Adel Taarabt (both Spurs....) in it is never not satisfying.
The trick is one club men- So Messi, Giggs, Totti, Maldini (although you can’t have both of them...) including Pele if you were born in earlier than 1977, and picking a keeper from a random country (Oblak, Handanovic, Akinfeev...)
Can we not knock it?

Carlos Alberto (Brazil) Gorgon (Poland) Moore (England) Maldidi (Italy)
Platini (France) Masopust (Czechoslovakia)
Messi (Eagentina) Muller (West Germany) Asparuhov (Bulgaria) Cruyff (Netherlands)
How can I not have Di Stefano (possibly the best ever player), Pele, Beckenbauer etc in the team!
All this because of the one club, one nation rule! The 'keeper IS the best I've ever seen & Georgi Asparuhov was always going to be in my team. I still love him fifty years after his death!

I had to take out Cryuff when I remembered Maradona played 30 odd games for Barca and then Platini as Charles played for Juve. Think I've got it within the rules now.
Damn, just realised both Pele and Beckenbaur played for the New York Cosmos but as they were retirement jobs, I'm not counting the connection.

You can't f*cking do that mate!
I left out Beckenbauer because they both played for cosmos and had a juck of a fob getting the back 4 sorted as a result. Boo!

That was hard, I'm happy with 10/11 of my team. No Brazilians or Portuguese as these seem to fall victim to the Barcelona/Real Madrid/AC Milan overlap. Okocha, Senna, Aldair and Zahovic both came close, as did McGrath and Sammer.
Helmuth Duckadam (Romania) Manny Kaltz (Germany) Daniel Passarella (Argentina) Alexander Chivadze (USSR) Dennis Irwin (Ireland) Morten Olsen (Denmark) Michel Platini (France) Johan Cruyff (Netherlands) John Robertson (Scotland) Pele (Brazil) Les Ferdinand (Acton)

If Helmuth Duckadam is too obscure (but not to Terry Venables), sub in Jan Tomaszewski.
