If I still lived in Ipswich I'd have been at the Whitton/Ipswich Wanderers game. 4-3 to Whitton sounds like a cracking match. The wife's well pleased as Stowmarket have stormed through to the next round.

I went to a local FA Cup pre-qualifying match last night...Leicester Nirvana v Oadby Town. Finished 3-1 to Oadby after, in my view, a very harsh red card for Nirvana at 1-1.

Was a good game, really enjoyable spectacle, and the first real life, proper football I've seen since we played Birmingham at home in March. I missed the sounds of a ball being thumped, players clattering into each other etc... well worth the £5 entrance fee.

Really not looking forward to more streamed football BCD. I love my Rangers but...gah.

A few years ago I wrote some words about the Extra Early Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. I seem to remember the first line was Pontefract Collieries.

A mate was doing some freelance graphic work for the FA at the time and was going to try and get them to use it. Alas like a QPR cup run it never happened.
