Never had the confidence to start a match thread, going early and hoping first time lucky!!

The obvious questions - will Charlie start? will he be used as an impact sub and can we keep a clean sheet? I really, really hope and pray that bringing him back works out for both sides. There are two Charlie Austins - the one we took on, burning desire to do well, worked very hard for the team, played on even though he was in a lot of pain and gave everything to every game. The other, unfortunately, (if you read and believe the reports) is someone who lost his desire, had his head turned, went off the rails, put on a load of timber and is not, and will never be the same man or player he was in the past. Could go either way, but I hope for both the club and his sake it goes well for him and I wish him all the very best of luck.

I am going for a 1-2 win - and after being awarded a penalty Charlie picks up the ball and gives it to Dykes who slams it into the back of the net to win us the match. They embrace and it is the start of a beautiful partnership.

Austin's been watching Bonne - two offsides now ;-) Seriously so bloody good to see him back, his little runs and lay-offs are a joy.

He's getting in there are causing problems, not just shots but also some nice passing. It feels like its coming

Agree with earlier BOS don't look like he can cross with is left

He can (he did on Saturday), just not as comfortable. He often checks on to his left when playing on the right, for instance.

Sorry if already covered but out walking so can't go back through the thread. I wonder what happens if we get a penalty. Dykes or Austin. Wondered if its even been discussed by management etc. Austin would always fancy himself to score and very good but Dykes hasn't missed yet and if you did take them away from him what would that do for the little confidence he probably has at the moment

My problem with him on the left, other than what’s been mentioned alrwDy, is that his decisionmaking is just a moment too slow.... I feel like our strikers have already made their runs by the time he’s squared and ready to cross

As can often happen, the team seem lifted generally and playing confidently but Chair just off the pace whereas he's been setting the tempo in previous games.
If we can get him involved it adds another % to our attacking strength

On either wing, maybe, but maybe more so on the left?

It’s an interesting point... I feel like Carroll is quieter too

I wonder if this formation means that our attacks are more based out of the strikers and wingbacks then the more central players like chair? I don’t know
