Evening all and a belated happy new year.
I see our game is off due to covid tomorrow.
Times are tough right now so I thought I would try and bring a bit of cheer.
I have written a book about supporting our beloved Rs.
It's on Kindle at amazon.and the paperback will follow very soon.
Here is the link

It's hardly ever mentioned. But the club was founded by Edward the Confessor as a gift for his wife, and won Ye Olde Anglo Saxon Trophee for 16 years running from 1050.

Then the Normans application to enter the tournament was rejected, they got annoyed, and the rest is history.

Was he at the tricky fixture at Hastings in 1066 or more likely the battle of Stamford Bridge just before this.

an ancestor of mine was killed at the Battle of Hastings. He was camping in the next field and went to complain about the noise.

I don't think that's true. I think you just made that up.

I'll get the paperback.

Does anybody still do Kindle???

One of those things that doesn't seem to have really taken off as many thought it might.

Good Luck with the book and let us know when paperback is out.

I found Kindle very useful when my arms were not long enough for me to hold a book far away from me to read with out glasses. Kindle is not great in bright sunlight, but that is rarely a problem in the west of Ireland

Sadly Diddles, I hadn't noticed any spelling errors, was jocularly commenting on the Normans.

I'll buy a paper copy too.

I bought an electronic book on amazon by accident, tried reading it on the 'fire' but couldn't deal with the screen or the way it looked.

You only get it free if you are subscribed to Kindle Unlimited, not sure if I get any royalties for those type of sales.
