Enjoyed that, as did you which is evident by the 8 given to the ref!

Only joking - as you correctly said, he had a decent match.

Gorgeous. Will have to read it again later.

I think the 7 on Dieng might be generous, though. I think he was out of position for their goal, similar to his debut against Boro. Maybe he wouldn't have saved it either way, but if he was a yard closer to that near post and a yard off his line I think there's a good chance that Toney's header hits him.

Otherwise, agree with all the ratings.

He's getting a 7 purely for saving us from the horrors of that Jensen worldie going in.

Brilliant report, fair point on their goal, but reckon Dieng's late take face first between two Brentford attackers was almost a MOTM moment in itself, and after seeing him on top of Charlie by their dug-out, and giving grief to Ilias for not clearing his lines at the end, I've marked him down to a 9.99!

Fabulous report. Laughed through so much of that.

I also love that Charlie has returned doing a more than passable impression of football's William Wallace... They may take a goal but they'll never take our three-points!

Never knowingly right.

Thanks Clive. An excellent report that does justice to a fantastic result. Think Kane has just won the hotly contested Diag of the Season award with his pass to Wallace for the second goal.

That was actually a brilliant save - his anticipation was top-notch.

LOL - Boiler Lit and swallowing coal

here goes Kane with a crossfield ball for the ages, and chugging into view over the horizon it’s Captain of Glasgow Rangers Lee Wallace, final boiler lit and swallowing coal, to collect and pile through two would be challenges en route pour Boulogne from where he cut a cute, clever, calm ball back into trouble, which of course, as we know, is Charlie Austin’s home address, and in it went as it was always going to do. In it went. Where else was it going to go? Two goals in four minutes.

Absolute classic - I started crying with laughter - amazing description both of Lee Wallace and the goal

I think the guy who actually noticed it first, and put that video together, was actually killed in the Manchester bombing.

I mean, this was fkn awful. Sorry Clive.

The collective noun for skylarks is 'an exultation' not a 'gaggle'. You're thinking of geese (as long as they're on land - they're a 'skein' or 'wedge' when in flight).

Expect better tbh.

Bare bones.

incredibly harsh there Bri, I think. If he was closer to that near post they may not have played a near post free kick?

Bare bones.

In all seriousness it's really not like me to miss a detail like that. Annoying.

excellent as per Clive......

the humour content in defeat makes reading these bearable; the sheer joy in victory (especially over Hounslow Athletic FC) make them essential!
