It's interesting he feels his ideal position is left wing back. He mentions the physicality of English football has been a negative for him. He's 5' 7" and looks quite slight so he'll obviously need to deal with that should he come to us.

So, we've got Cox well in our sights and we'll roadtest Odubajo during pre season. That just leaves the no 2 keeper spot to be decided. Or does it?
Do we need to bring in a CB? If we did, that would enable Masterson to go out on loan, which I think he needs. But there may be an argument for asking Ball to be both CB and CM cover instead. That would mean a guaranteed place on the bench and greater possibility of playing which may help to keep him happy if he's beginning to feel squeezed out. He's a player I want want us to keep.

Warbs prefers players who have 30-50 professional games. He wants them to learn the ropes and make their rookie mistakes while playing for others. At least that's how it looks. Masterson's only played 21 adult games. If he can get 40 under his belt somewhere else this season, then we'll know if he's any good, and if he is he'll have the experience to play for us next season.

Masterson was injured early in a loan period, so it's fairly obvious that MW wants him out on loan again as soon as he is fit or maybe after pre season training.

I've been wondering how the introduction of the B team will work alongside the loan system. Will the B team be for those for which we can't get a loan? Or perhaps the B team will be preferred for fringe first team squad players who we don't want to be tied to a loan?
There are a number of players in the U23s and a few in the first team squad who'll benefit from one or the other.
