That 1980/81 1-1 draw at Vicarage Road...so I've told my kids about how we'd thumped West Ham 3-0 at LR on Boxing Day, and so joyful were the hooped hordes, that we took 10,000 to Watford 2 days later.

Re Diakite (and I must admit, his Watford loan passed me by...) that string of performances that helped keep us up in the Premier League was really quite something. I spent that summer dreaming of a Faurlin/Diakite midfield axis that would conquer all before them. Didn't quite work out that way  |  |
