Please try thinking about some of these in the next game:

1. At corners and free kicks - if crossing - please ENSURE the ball clears the first defender
2. Please try to avoid three players going for the same ball.
3. Please start distributing the ball more quickly instead of the lets all allow them to defend by our crossing the ball left to right, then back to Dieng. A number of times today players rushed down the wings and Dieng held onto the ball far too long.
4. If you see a QPR player running forwards from defence, please move so he has options.
5.Please realise that because you play the same way each game, teams watching the films see what you are going to do and THEY know and prepare for its going to Dickie or Dunn and hence they pressure them. Do something different
6. Try this, when Dieng sends everyone to the right of the pitvch for a kick from goal, have one player peel off left and get Dieng to kick it there. Millwall did this today to great effect
7. Please realise (as we do) that, in the last seven games, the first time the opponent has a shot on target - it ends up in the net!
8. The effort shown in the last 10 minutes would be great BEFORE you have let 2 goals in and are trying to save face.
9. If you carry on like this you WILL be relegated so work out what EACH of you is doing wrong and STOP IT!
10. Please try to develop some different 'strategy' as what you are doing ISN'T working!
11. Please realise that whilst YOU GET PAID TO PLAY THE WAY YOU ARE _ WE HAVE TO PAY TO WATCH IT and we can all see what you are doing wrong- but you as professionals, coaches, management and board cannot!
12. You are not the sort of players who will scrap out a relegation battle so please please avoid going there!

Yep...Gordon Jago (from Canada) brought that to the team in the early 70s having seen how the Dutch were playing.

He (and the triangular play) set the basics for Dave Sexton and the team of the mid 70s.
