They know that if they go up, they will start on minus 8 or whatever. It kind of takes the excitement away for their players, knowing that promotion means a points deduction.
As for us, there is a chance. I certainly wouldn't bet on it, it's unlikely but football is a funny game as we all know. Tuesday evening we could be just 4 points behind Leicester with 4 games to play, including us playing them. Leicester have a few other tough games and they are failing apart. Ipswich have West Brom, Preston and Middlesbrough to play, so it's possible isn't it. But we have to win every game. | |

Well why not? We win those two games in hand, and beat them, then they go from being 10 points ahead like they currently are, to simply just 1 point ahead. And I don’t think many can be that confident that they won’t drop another point with the other 3 games they’ve got left…
As mathematically, all it takes now is 2 of those 3 above us to not win all their remaining games, and whether we make automatic promotion or not is back in our hands | |
