Bless him, good luck. The chemo/radio with my dad was worse than the disease, and he died anyway. His sister, my aunt, had the same thing, underwent the more modern treatment, and though it was horrendous and she's disfigured now she did live and continues to enjoy a reasonable quality of life.

None of us know when our time is up. Friend passed away from a brain aneurism at 44 a few years ago, totally without warning, and yes my dad had pancreatic cancer but the op to widen his tracheotomy went wrong. Feel for Ludo, in the same way for the brilliant Sir Chris Hoy. We all need to live our best life every day. Rangers better hurry along their four year plan !!!

Chris Hoy is just so sad. Literally a superman, superhuman level of fitness, diet. It gets you when it gets you. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Hard to understand it happening to a man such as Chris Hoy... Dealing with it in a positive way is incredible also.

Get well soon ludo on 19:01 - Dec 30 with 716 views | hantssi | My best friend of over 50 years passed away with it at the end of November, the funeral was the week before Christmas. He had Immunotherapy and Radiotherapy and it was complications from the former that got him. By our standards he was the fittest guy I knew but as said above it’ll get you if it get you, he didn’t even know he was sick until he went for a check up for something else. I’m doing a CRUK walk in the summer so I’ll be on here looking for sponsorship in the spring. Sorry, should have said, wishing Ludo all the best. [Post edited 30 Dec 2024 19:10]

Get well soon ludo on 10:31 - Dec 31 with 426 views | themodfather | cancer rates are now 1 in 2, think on that , 50%. when i was a kid it was 1in 6 , went to 1 in 3 now 50%, chernobyl?? such a rapid rate in detection etc. all the best to Ludo , as reported chemo treatments vary and side effects can too. and all the best to anyone facing cancer(s).

Although 1 in 2 will get cancer in their lifetime, not all will die as a result of it.It would be more revealing to discover the mortality rate of those 50% who get it who go on to die from it. A lot of cancers are treatable if caught early enough.
