I guess most of us got the email from the club about the r@nt boys chant. Hopefully it will now be put to bed,or changed to ch@lsea are w@kners and it would be more accurate.

yeah, exactly. I think the club needs to sort it out or liaise in some way with the home club. It makes it unpleasant and a hassle not knowing if you can get your own seat.

I had a nightmare at Luton, ended up literally sharing 2 standing places amongst 4 with a fellow father and (adult) son who had been pushed out of their seat.

Only applies at a packed away end, I wasn't bothered at Burnley :-)

One way to address this would be to take action against the hosting club for failing to supply what was sold. It happens because clubs allow it to and they allow it to because they don't give a crap about away fans and there are no consequences.

Poll: QPR to finish 7th or Brentford to drop out of the top 6?

Didn’t the song originate as a headhunter was caught with a male prostitute ? Or was that apocryphal?

When a lot of those fans turn up 5 minutes before ko it makes it difficult for the host clubs to do anything about it.If they check tickets as late as that it would lead to chaotic scenes with all the aisles blocked by late comers.I think it’s just the easiest option to allow people to stand where they want, within reason.

In respect of people not sitting in their designated seat just make it unallocated seating and the problem disappears

That means people who get there early will be able to get the best views and ones like myself who usually don't get into till 14.55 get stuck with what's left

Well, if that was the case, I expect the gentleman in question got the head he was hunting.

Thank you very much, I'm here all week etc etc.

they should just let you pick your own seats like you do at home games, it shouldn't be that difficult

I thought Luton was genuinely dangerous in the first half. Luckily at half time lots of people used some common sense and it seemed to sort itself out.

I think some clubs give you the choice of two parts of the away section - further back (for those who want to stand) or nearer the front for those who'd rather (or need to) sit...as in, Rangers would do that, not the host club.

We were near the front at Brizzle...was nearly all either 60+s or families with young kids...but four or five old enough to know better blokes insisted on standing and blocking everyone else's view.

I'm pretty sure its roots are in a story like this.

Still homophobic tho, and therefore crosses a line imho.

Most fans (Rangers and others) self-police with racist chants, no need for club emails or tannoy announcements. It seems we're still a long way from the same being the case with homophobic songs - and the media still questions why gay players won't come out while still playing...
