What a great fighter from the golden age of heavyweight boxing.

When We Were Kings was a great watch. Will watch again over the weekend.

RIP George.

Smells like a trout farm in here

Sad news. Always struck me as a decent fella in a sport of rogues.

RIP George.

I saw him fight when he came to London in the 90s ( not for long mind ) a true champion worthy of being called a legend . Sleep well big George

His fights against Frazier & Ali were stand out events in a golden age of boxing. Loved the documentary ‘When we were Kings’.

He came across as a good guy with a sense of humour - named all his five sons George.

RIP George.

Far too young to have seen him fight in his prime or even later years but that era of boxing he was such a huge part of makes it so very hard to take the modern farce of boxing - particularly the heavyweight division, seriously. I would admittedly take it seriously if one of them was standing in front of me wanting to fight...would seriously leg it.

RIP to a true great of the sport.

Was just about old enough to remember the great fights with Norton , Frazier and Ali.
A stunning era of boxing in comparison to the no marks dominating a Saudi controlled sport .
RIP George .

One of my greatest celebrity encounters was being in a lift in a hotel in LA and George Foreman got in. I’d had a few and involuntarily said to my mate “George F-kin Foreman!”

He was a total gentleman. His first response was “now you’re not going to ask me for a grill are you?”
