We either fly on momentum or die from a lack of it. There's nothing in between and it's a syndrome that has dogged Marti and many others before him now. So I am starting to think that somehow, over the last 10 years it has somehow become institutionalized here. These extreme fluctuations just get handed down. |  |

It seems to happen a lot Bosh and as you say been happening since Holloways times.
Great runs of results followed by lengthy periods of absolute dross.
This season bottom after 16 games only one win, then for next 16 games, our record is 2nd or 3rd in the league again and again now we are performing like total duffers.
I wonder how many other clubs can be so extreme in such short periods of time

Unfortunately I think it's attitude. For too long we've inculcated a culture of failure, from the incompetent owners, down to the unqualified DoF and signing players who are never going to achieve anything in their careers bar a healthy bank balance. I've seen us compared to Preston recently...at least they're in a FA Cup Quarter-Final. We can't even get past the third round! Performances like yesterday and runs like six away defeats in a row (with more to come) show a lack of professional pride. Turn up, lose, pick up your pay cheque. Repeat. |  | | |
