If we aren't relegated this season it will happen next. We have 9 or 10(?) First team players leaving in the summer and i don't have any faith in the recruitment.

The entire club is one giant sh!t sandwich.

No

The teams in the dog fight are doing exactly that - fighting
They’ll pick up unexpected points

We’ve been in a death spiral and seem to have run out of ideas, energy and players to arrest it

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

I think you're right one win should be enough. Still concerned about where that's coming from though.

No. I reckon we need around 3pts and have no real confidence we can pick up any more, Swansea (H) maybe?

Desperately need a couple of players back, mainly Frey and I don’t even particularly rate him.

Some questions in this life are nuanced or philosophically challenging. This one ain't.

Emphatically no.

Yes, but Nourry should be thoroughly ashamed it’s ended up this close.

It's a huge NO from me.

Can't see us winning another game at the moment.

In that case 3 draws…can we eke those out? Oxford Swansea Preston or get something out of Bristol.

Trouble with Bristol is they’ll have Messrs Dickie, Armstrong and Wells who’ll be no doubt motivated to prove a point at Loftus Road. Inevitable one of them will score against us

Wells was a successful loanee so has no point to prove. I believe QPR wanted to make it permanent but Bristol simply out muscled us financially.
Dickie was doing well and a club came in and bought him, he also has no point to prove IMO
Armstrong was also bought by the same club, probably on the basis of potential, and hopefully still likes us enough to not have any need or desire to prove anything

I’d take another 0-0 here and now but it’s going to be a tougher game than Cardiff

In absolute terms, the number of points we have is not enough when compared to previous seasons. In relative terms, 6 teams below us have to have much improved performances they haven't displayed in the previous 40 games AND we have to avoid scoring any more points.

It isn't yes or no but highly unlikely.

It's always noisiest at the shallow end

As happens too often on a Sunday morning, went through the calculator thingy and put in just about the worst set of results possible for us and the "best" set of results (for them) for teams at the bottom, the only slightly optimistic thing I did was put in a 0-0 draw against Swansea and of course 0 points in the rest of the games for us.

Even doing that, we stayed up on goal difference. There are so many teams between us and third bottom that in reality it gives us another 1/2 points, they can't all pick up points as they play each other.

My verdict is that we need 1 more point to make it unlikely we go down. Not impossible, but unlikely. 0 points and there is a chance we go down. So get that bus parked.

We’re not safe but I think we’ll just about be Ok 🙏

I’m sure someone said Cardiff have four winnable games but looking at their fixtures I just can’t see it. Besides, with 9 wins all season I can’t see them suddenly picking up four in six.

Even if they do, they’ll possibly be taking points from the likes of Stoke and Oxford so that helps us and if they don’t win those games that also helps us…. win win.

I think we need a bit of clarity here. Is the sandwich giant-size or a normal-sized sandwich made from the shit of a giant?

That's right. We're not afraid of the big questions on LFW.

Yes agree with that I think they will want the win to retain top 6 position so going to be a hard game. But despite our terrible form and injury crisis we know this division is highly unpredictable and bottom sides beat top sides. As others alluded to we really need a few back from injury at least Saito will return from suspension for the Bristol game and he has been one of our better performers. Ideally Frey and kolli cook will return for some of the final games.

Nope, unless Mr OG turns up. Which is why I had us scoring zero goals in the run in - and we still stayed up. It means nothing of course, apart from to point out however arse nipping it looks points-wise, the crucial factor is the number of teams between us and third bottom. Makes a huge difference with only 6 games to go. Doesn't mean we will definitely stay up, but the current 22/1 at the bookies to go down looks about right to me. Same bookies have Oxford at 3/1 to go down, which....I don't get.

The Championship form table last six says no, the same for the last 10 says no. Teams below us and around us are picking up points. Apparently 49 for safety is looking likely but I think it's touch and go. What I wouldn't give for a streaky win at Oxford on Wednesday - we'll get thumped.

Yes we will probably lose Wednesday but if we do crucial it is not a thumping as GD could be worth a point and ours is better than most below us and we want to keep it. A point would be good tho!

You're safe when it's mathematically impossible for you to be relegated. Even then, a blip in the accounts can scupper that!

Until then, you're not safe.
