Well I'm just back from a lie down after the news that Poku's not fit after all.

Le Bricoler-Garcon finds himself under grande pressure due to appraoch taken against Oxford, Millwall and Derby.
Had those games yielded 4 more points that were easily there for the taking then this would not be the case and I'd hope he's learing lessons bloody fast.

I'd say he'll roll the tombola for just the four changes tomorrow

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

Yes Poku now due back after the International Break or when Skytnet takes over the world killing all humans with functioning hamstrings, leaving Poku as the sole human survivor. Esquerdinha allegedly had a massive strop in training and was dropped from the squad so definitely Field in for RND.

Other than that, I am guessing it may well be the same starting line up. I don't think there will be more than 2 changes. Certainly no more than 11.

Never knowingly right.

I reckon Field will come in to the middle of the park for Varane and we may see Morgan involved somewhere

I agree. I think he’ll pack the midfield tomorrow and I suspect he will bring Morgan in. He will want to stop the rot.

I think Morgan may start, Field may sit in at LB if RND is not available and Hayden may be used as well........3 changes at the very most, maybe 2.

Important to get 3 points (or a least a good performance) to put everyone back in positive mode.

I have absolutely no effing idea what team we'll put out and why!

However, I think the bigger question: Does Jules?

Frey & Burrel upfront.
Morgan RB. Dunne & Cook in the middle, Field LB.
Smyth wide.

Dunne is absolutely woeful as a centre back. He’s either the right back or not in the starting 11. You can’t just show horn him in the side because he’s the captain.

I maintain that he's playing injured. Heard in the summer when they were giving it "back next week" that it was more serious than that.

Sadly we have few alternatives out there to rest him. Because, again, they've shopped in the A League for his cover...

I do wonder whether Morgan right back, move Dunne into centre half alongside Mbengue with Field at left back, might add a bit of stability.

I think one to try out in the international break rather than tomorrow.

Maybe but do we go with Esquerdinha? I’m on the fence on that one. And if not him then has to be Field. Mbengue has to play. That leaves Cook or Morrison and neither have been great.

After the Brazilian’s performance against Ipswich I suspect his career at QPR will be like Santos from last season when he had that shocker against Boro. I imagine he will be loaned to a Portuguese 2nd division side. Can’t believe he was put in for that game. Back 4 today will probably be Field, Morrison, Cook and Dunne. I think our back 4 and goalie need big improvements next season. Full back positions has been a problem for so long now.

Yes.
A win would be nice, but, in the current circumstances, a draw would be seen as just as good.

Shopping in the A league may pay off, but probably not immediately. Which would be fine if we didn't have a problem now. I think Portsmouth, who have also been shopping out there, are finding out the same thing.
I reckon we should go with Vale at left back, using the principle of never playing the same person in that position more then once.

Yes but I’m hoping that if you move Dunne to his more natural position, he’ll get his confidence back and can concentrate on heading and smashing people. He doesn’t have to worry about bringing the ball forward in an attacking sense. Mbengue alongside to provide the pace cover. If you’re captain gets form back, I think that will spread to rest of the team. Morgan should be better going forward than Dunne and just tell him no “cross field” balls at any time. Field was excellent defensively at Swansea, less so going forward but he will bring some solidity that Esqerdinha won’t.

Not against that back 4, although I am not a 'love' of Field at LB. I may give one of our most consistent player over the past few years (Field) a game in his natural position of CM and bring in Esqerdinha at LB against a pretty average Sheff Utd.

From mates who support that lot in SW6 Vale is apparently very decent at left back. Must be worth a go
