Some may say this another example ( there are other examples of of is potentially occurring) of a two tier legal system developing in the country.
The CPS has announced after an investigation by the Met that no further action ( or any action ) should be taken after he was filmed and seen by thousands singing " death to the IDF" .The right decision or a missed opportunity to tone down some of the rhetoric being displayed ?

"In a free society, the State is the servant of the people—not the master."

G day Boundy boy
Another politician decision to appease anti semitists that stain our island
This was a straight forward criminal offence
I’m rather ashamed of the country now
I have to accept now I am a far right, racist, homophobic, misogynist fascist but I will live with that because I am at peace with my thoughts and soul
It means I can look at myself on the mirror and feel Im looking at a liar in the glass
The CPS consists of people who are morally bankrupt having the audacity to judge what is right or wrong

Anyway, another day above ground

Is it safe for me to come outgrown play yet ; it doesn’t seem so

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Bob has been spoken to by the Somerset and Avon police force..Thos seems about right ghr to me.

He is a protest singer and allowed the d fans of Glastonbury to vent their frustration and horror at that actions of the IDF.

You might ask what about the Gaza activist's? Correct sickening as well. However the whole hate agenda is the same as Ukrainian issue. The theft of land. Peace comes when ths theft in the West Bank ends and displaced people in Gaza are returned. Shabba and Shatila happened in 1982 before the bearded H men were even formed.

"Shabba and Shatila in 1982"

You're getting confused again, Mr Loverman was released in 1992 not 1982

I think you may be referring to Sabra and Shatila...

Pity the Arab states did not support the UN mandate back in 1945/46 which created the two state solultion. They all refused to recognise the state of Israel. Egypt invaded the gazza strip and Jordan invaded the West Bank both of which formed part of the new state of Palestine.

We could have had peace in the middle east without the loss of life in the various Arab Israel wars and the countless deaths fighting terrorism since.

I don't suppose many will bother to do more than skim this article but I found it very interesting. It supports the argument that judges are veering more towards activism than restraint in certain areas. The notion of a separation of powers where Parliament (the legislature) makes law and judges (the judiciary) determine whether law is being applied as Parliament intended, seems to be increasingly challenged. Many of us are all too familiar with the idea that the UK's international treaty obligations have limited the government's ability to change rules in areas like immigration policy through new primary legislation, but assumed that if we withdraw from agreements like the ECHR this will become possible. The important point made in the article is that those who oppose this (see: Hermer, Grieve et al.) are increasingly claiming that the common law will still stop new legislation changing the status quo. Common law, also known as case law or judicial precedent, is law derived from past court decisions rather than Acts of Parliament. According to Dickson's article: "the Supreme Court may be quietly positioning itself to resurrect the common law as a source from which to develop human rights law in ways which will prevent much of a gap from opening up between the British way of protecting human rights and the Council of Europe's way." Things have moved on since 2015 when this article was published and the issue is now highly topical, especially given the Home Secretary's recent statements (and what she may say tomorrow). My own view is that judges should stop trying to stretch their role of "interpreting" law to mean making law, and leave this to elected politicians who are subject to the democratic process. Retired Supreme Court judge, Jonathan Sumption, has written several good articles on this.
