Chair - Back On Song At Last 10:12 - Nov 23 with 2146 viewsNorthantsHoop

Thought Ilias delivered a great performance yesterday, back to his Loftus Road best in my opinion. Thought he linked up with Norrington- Davies very well and drove us forward.

Illy was the difference yesterday. His best performance for a year. Let’s hope he’s back to his best going forward! COYRs!!!!

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

I think Chair has been good since he came back into the side, results haven't been good but yesterdays performance was coming. Really pleased for him

It was only a matter of time. Can’t believe the grief some give him on here. Struggled with fitness and form over the last two seasons, but is without doubt a class act with known pedigree and quality. Imperious performance yesterday and at the heart of everything we did well.

Great to finally see some fight and determination coursing throughout the entire team to come back and win that game. Consistency is now the key. Need to follow that up with the same belief and drive at Blackburn, a place we tend to fear and wither at.

Can we go again with the same intensity?

Indeed. Thankfully yesterday put the ‘we haven’t won since Chair came back’ nonsense to bed. Our best player. Has been for years. Still is.

He’s been a great player for us for a long time but some of the outrage when anyone dares to criticise him is over the top.
Yesterday he was a clear MOTM and he was back to the player we know he can be but it was his first goal since February and I would say he has rarely played that well since Willock left a year and a half ago.
Every QPR fan would have been delighted with him yesterday: his challenge is to keep that standard up.

The issue for me is that no one else in our team can get near that standard, hence the reason he should always play when fit. Said it before, form is temporary, class is permanent and with the possible exception of Field, no one is more committed to QPR than Chair.

Totally agree. I have seen every minute he has played since returning from injury and he has played well. Chair back in the side is not the reason our form dipped and he hasn't been at fault for any losses. We are a better team with him playing and his ability to keep possession has been missed.

I would like to see him play behind Kone as a 10 and play Burrell a bit wider. Kone seems a bit lost right now, and JS doesn't seem to know his best starting XI yet.

Let’s not rewrite history: as brilliant as he was yesterday he’s been below par for his previous performances this season, even allowing for him building up his fitness. Looking forward to him keeping yesterday’s standard up as it will make a huge difference for us.

Not sure which player you have been watching. I think he has been managed back really well and has looked bright in every game.

And despite missing a large chuck of last season not playing as well as we all know he can play, still got the most assists!!

He is also probably one of the hardest working players we have. He's great defensively as well as offensively. I doubt many (if any) players cover more ground regularly per game than Chair does.

In an era when fans often criticise a players lack of loyalty in the modern game, Chair breaks that mould... as does Dunne.

I thought Chair was excellent Saturday, MoM and his best performance for a long time. Certainly, as long as I can remember (limited admittedly), and at least since the alleged brick throwing.

The Hull game really suited him - nice and open, plenty of space to exploit and the freedom to do so.

He also looks fitter and is covering more ground again. Mind you even Dembele was tracking back on Saturday and he looked good too.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I have been one of his critics but he was absolutely outstanding Saturday. His workrate without the ball was incredible. I think having a solid full back in RND gives him a better platform to play.

If he plays like that every week he would be the first name on the team sheet.

Long may it continue.
