| Kolli 19:34 - Jan 11 with 35999 views | WestbourneR | Showed he has what it takes again today, I felt. Really impressive from a 20 year old. Super sharp touch, great one touch link play and he's so strong. Interesting to see which players looked comfortable at that level generally. Sadly Kone looked out of his depth all game. Thought Dunne did well but then go horribly exposed by Summerville for their second. For me Madsen looks like a Premership class centre mid. Stood out all game as our Rolls Royce player. Smyth was the big surprise IMO. Really held his own. Was pretty magnificent. | |

| Kolli on 23:01 - Mar 21 by slmrstid | The time to loan Kolli out for regular experience was 12-24 months ago now. He does blow hot and cold in games, and he needs to work more on being hot now and less cold, and boy when he is hot is he HOT (like today). Anyway, enough use of the words hot and cold, but he is showing now he is firmly a Championship level player we need to use more of. Whether he can make the next step up is now down to him. |
Consistent or not he has the best goals per minute from any available player. Some in the club need to get over it. Are we data led or not? Not sure if its Nourry / Williams, not sure if it's Julian Stephen. Drop the ego lads. His Dad can drown puppies for all I care.

Might help if he actually plays. People forget he’s only just passed the 20 games mark equivalent (expect the club to announce that soon now we are winning again…) 20 games is nothing. And I’ve just seen the latest Jack Supple stat. Brings it all into focus. “Kolli has hit 10 goals for QPR at a younger age than Ebere Eze (21y 98d), Adel Taarabt (21y 82d) and Ilias Chair (23y 25d).”

Better goal per minute rate than Ferdinand and Gallen at his age too i'd imagine. His exclusion is purely political.

| Kolli on 19:06 - Mar 21 by JamesB1979 | Club needs to decide what to do next season. If he’s not a “starter” for the manager, he needs a loan to play regularly in first team. It’s a waste of a talent if we stick on bench again. |
Not sure if he’s a ‘starter’ but he definitely doesn’t need a loan spell. He’s good enough for the first team and just needs game time. That doesn’t mean he’s going to start every game, but needs to be given the certainty that he’s a first team player and will be part of a rotation of strikers. He’ll eventually work his way up to be ‘starter’.
| Kolli on 23:28 - Mar 21 with 2851 views | Wegerles_Stairs | He had a decent game against West Ham, which said a lot. His goals today were top quality. When Burrell got injured against Wednesday, he scored a brace and you thought he'd get a regular run in the side as his replacement. Really strange that he hasn't - I don't know if the Ben Williams story is true but it would explain a lot. He's a real talent and if we don't want him, plenty of other clubs will snap him up. | | | |
| Kolli on 23:46 - Mar 21 with 2776 views | Benny_the_Ball | The lad's a natural striker with a high ceiling. Next season it'll be interesting to see what Stephan does with Kone, Burrell, Kolli and Obikwu at his disposal. | | | |

| Kolli on 19:52 - Mar 21 by baz_qpr | I'm of the view that he is too good for league 1 not sure what it would achieve so the only option I think would be another championship club which won't go down well or abroad. I'd keep him myself I think he is number 3 of the strikers and I dont think we can flog Kone so hard again next year. |
I agree, he doesn't need yo go out on loan. He either starts or is on the bench. The club needs 4 strikers that can score goals in the squad. Whether it is to start with 2 or just 1, the bench should include options. Also, it is also probable that one or more could be unavailable. Kone has worked his socks off over the last 4 months and needs a rest (luckily he isn't on international duty, so will now have one), but QPR cannot leave the squad short on options again next season. So loaning Kolli has got to be a non starter, if he isn't going to be part of next season's squad it would make more sense to sell him to keep in with the idea of being a development club. I would rather keep him with Kone , Burrell and Obikwu and try and have a real go at challenging for promotion next season. The stumbling block of course is the injury problem the club has had over the last 2 seasons (or hasn't if you believe Williams and his stats).

He's played 45 mins + in the last 6/7 games, I'm not buying this narrative that there is currently a political exclusion, nor that he needs to go on loan to get games. He's getting valuable minutes now and hopefully after this game he can keep up some momentum with his goalscoring. Keep giving the likes of him and Morgan starts until the end of the season and see what they can do. Wouldn't be opposed to see Esquerdinha given more minutes also | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Kolli has to stay here next season. No point loaning him out. He is good enough to be in the starting eleven, and is just as likely to be a great bench option. Esquerdinha, I see as more of a winger than full back. For me, if we could pimp Saito out to Japanese league or the far east for the money we paid for him, ie I think he is a player, just not strong enough for our Championship. Nice guy and all that, but he has been disappointing. Esquerdinha seriously doesnt seem to be a defender but has pace and good attacking instincts. That could be the way to go, perhaps. But Kolli, definitely keep. Eighth place is a play off berth next season. Surely the club must feel that is something that could be possible for this squad. [Post edited 22 Mar 5:56]

With Kolli he is that off the last the defender type striker, perfect example his 2nd goal, also has a great strike on him and caught the keeper cold with his first low strike which a had a wicked curve on it. He is not a physical type centre forward, whereas Kone thrives on that side of the game, thought he played really well yesterday fought for a lot and deserved his 2 goals. He actually looked to me that he has got fitter after struggling for quite a few games with his fitness.

We left him out the squad completely when Burrell and Chair were fit. It's political mate.

| Kolli on 10:18 - Mar 22 with 1981 views | Markofthegrove | It was criminal that we weren't using Kolli when Burrell was being run into the ground. The club have completely mis-treated this lad because the people running the club lack real empathy in their dealings with people. Zero people skills the both of them. Love to see that Rayan's talent has risen above all of that and he is now showing what he can do. He is such a crisp striker of a football. Play him every game from the start for the rest of the season. Bennie getting starts ahead of him was absolutely political and a crime. | | | |

"Imagine" doing quite a lot of heavy lifting there. Gallen scored 14 goals in his debut season, in the Premier League, at 19. Just before he was Rayan Kolli's age he'd unfortunately been ruled out for the season with a cruciate injury, but was on three goals in two games at that moment. He'd broken every record at youth level and is in a top 20 for goals scored in PL before 21. At Kolli's age, Les was playing for Hayes! Did alright, though, goals-per-games wise overall. Kolli has a lovely strike on him, is a good forward but it's a stretch to say his exclusion is political. He's had injuries this season, Burrell and Kone are ahead of him, but now he's getting some minutes. Great. He's 21 and learning his role. Bradley Allen and Gary Penrice were brilliant strikers, but often not the first choices. Kolli reminds me of their role at the moment. He can have a run now and cement it. He won't be loaned. But I'm afraid I think he'll sold as it's pure profit and he has value, as he's proving. And that's what a development club must do. Imagine how much better off the club, and player, would have been if QPR had sold Gallen before his injury... Gotta know when hold and know when to fold them.

And usually with his instep rather than through the laces. He has also bulked up a fair bit this season and is becoming more and more difficult to get the ball from. In addition to this he certainly has excellent control of the ball and awareness both of his own space and also where teammates are.

Not much backlit either, which caught the Pompey ‘keeper out. Should be starting every game given our injuries and his potential. Smyth too.

| Kolli on 12:33 - Mar 22 with 1684 views | MrSheen | For some reason I was looking at the Wiki squad listing for us in 2022/23. It hides Willock in Midfield so it lists our SIX strikers as Lyndon Dykes, Tyler Roberts, Chris Martin, Macauley Bonne, Jamal Lowe and Sinclair Armstrong. I don’t think any of us expect Rayan to get his head on punts upfield, but what a joy to see someone who 1) Shoots at the goal 2) is able to aim at the corner rather than the middle 3) Hits it hard | | | |

Mate, it’s not a stretch to say his lack of minutes is “political”. It really is. He has had some injuries, and he has done the odd silly thing off the pitch that riles the club powers, but he has been available a lot and not played for non “on the pitch” reasons. Trust. Some of it, I actually get, tbf to Nourry. BUT, at the same time, I think he’s put his own ego above the best interests of the club. Kolli could become a highly valuable asset for the club, but only if he plays…

Kolli is going to be the litmus test as to whether the club is really serious about developing players. Yes, you, Mr Hoos. He is a great finisher, as proven yesterday and a couple of occasions before. However, he can be completely anonymous at other times as young players can be. Can he impact the game when not scoring? Let him and Morgan play every game until the end of the season and see what happens.
