When I first saw him , I thought just another young player who won't amount to much , but now I'm thinking there might be a very good player there! Ironically my change in heart was caused by his 2 missed chances today. Yes sure he didn't score from 2 presentable chances but the lad was in the right place to miss those chances. Yep I think he might be quite a good player , I'm converted.

I agree and he'll know he should have scored one today.

He is probably our 5th choice striker when all fit so if he doesn't take these opportunities he'll be well down the pecking order next season, when a loan out will probably do him better anyway.

Yep, missed, but hit the target with both, and as you said, right place right time. How many times have previous strikers been on their heels or missed completely.

I imagine he'll go on loan next season with Burrell and Obikwu back. A full season in L1 or 2 would be great for him.

I like his character. Combative and give his all

He looked incredibly upset with himself after FT. I hope people at the club are putting an arm around him right now, can't be easy for a 19 year old but these moments could be the making of him.

I think he should take the positives like has been posted in here, being a chance magnet and knowing how to position correctly might actually be the hard part. I imagine the finishing will largely be confidence which hopefully he can find on a decent loan spell next season

His all round play is slightly better than Kolli’s in my humble opinion. I think he did more in 20 minutes than Kolli did with his time on the pitch today. Surprised he didn’t bury that last chance.

This is the reaction when a player misses an absolute sitter? Little wonder the club doesn't take fans seriously. Have a word with yourselves and raise your standards.

Well I'm gutted we couldn't win the game of course, but if showing some sympathy and supporting one of our young players is "below" your standards, then respectfully f*ck them. I'd urge you to watch Mr QPR Ilias Chair's recent interview

I still see him as being a Wayne Fereday type asset for us. One thing hardly anyone notices is that he gets into good positions and he gets around the park with a lot of pace.

Never knowingly right.

Still only 19 as far as I know. Has plenty of time to develop. He is a winger originally.

Smells like a trout farm in here

I think a loan would be best , he is young , a long way from home . If he does a Chair , Eze, even Smyth then fair do,s .
I honestly have my doubts . I am not keen generally on this focus on Australian players (and clubs)

6 days ago "building his conditioning ahead of his return." Don't think anyone has said he's back recently, unless I missed something?

Long way to go yet........whether he is 18 or 25 he should have won the game for us (twice) .

Respectfully disagree.

Kolli's movement, touch, awareness and intelligence are really promising.

Yeah Kolli is miles ahead of him technically at the moment but that is no slight on Daniel, he's young and promising and I think a very different kind of player. I hope both are assets for years to come

Don't really see it myself. Doesn't seem to have any particular strength. Not very quick, not very strong, not very skillful. Decent work rate but that's the bare minimum you'd expect. I get it that he's 19 and he has time to improve. Hopefully when we have a fully fit squad next season he can get a good loan to a league 2 club and play regularly. Then we'll know if there's a decent player there or not. Good luck to him.

Give it a rest, Walter, nobody died. He's an Aussie. He's made of sterner stuff than you, he doesn't need your sympathy. Support him by all means but don't go overboard by touting him as the next Yamal. Today was further evidence that he has much to improve and is currently not as good as Kolli.

Never. If I were to make such glaring mistakes at work, I'd be getting the tin tack. Now put down the candy and let the little kid go.

And then, of course, there's his ability to put the ball in the back of the net.

That's where I see it. Of course I want Daniel to succeed, he's my namesake after all. However, he should've won us the game today and should be told so in no uncertain terms.
