Anybody got any intel on how he's doing at Aberdeen?

I seemed to be one of the few that didn't rate him at all - for me he was too slight, too slow, not strong in the air, a bit meh at everything and one major rick per game.

However, I'd be glad to hear he's stepped for the Dons. With Cook almost certainly leaving it feels like there is a back up centre back position up for grabs.

His record at Rangers was quite good I believe, and we rarely lost when he played as I recall

I must watch a different game to some people as I rate the lad
Much better option for us than JCS

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Fair enough as that is your opinion, but unless you are basing that on availability, absolutely not. A fit JCS (stop laughing at the back) is not only the best CB at this club (including Rolls-Royce Ronnie), but he could be the best player we have.

His reading of the game is effortless and he always seems to have so much time on the ball.

Sadly, however, I think the injury record has done for him here and he'll be moved on in the summer...

Can we go out yet?

There is no doubting his ability. However, I am not convinced about his commitment. The only time we got anything close to a full season was when his contract was due to expire. Coincidence? Reminded me too much of Junior Hoilett. As for Morrison, himself I am with Westbourne on this one - a decent (non-expensive) back up to Dunne and Edward’s, with a couple of promising academy CF’s making more squad appearances next season.

Started 7 out of 8 games, and missed 1-2 because he was sent off.

I was keeping an eye he’s appearances . No idea he was sent off .
Like him as a player but not sure Julien does .
Thanks for putting me straight though.

For me, he has done nothing much wrong. Does the neccessary with the minimum of fuss.

In a position where we are very well stocked, can see another season long loan with a view for a decent sell on fee at the end of next season, also.

There's a player in there, and he's been unfortunate with injuries.

If he was back here he'd be 5th choice, and in reality given Jimmy's fitness record (cross-fingers, touch wood) there's realistically only one position he's challenging for an he's behind Edwards, Clarke-Salter, Cook.

Next season, with Cook gone most likely, I still think he'll have limited opportunity here unless we sell one of Jimmy (can't see that happening) or Clarke-Salter. I think Tylon Smith will most likely have more opportunity if he's not given a season long loan.

We need four CBs and with Cook leaving I wouldn't be surprised if the club tried to move JCS on. That would leave Edwards, Dunne, Morrison and I can see Smith being moved up from the DS.

I thought Morrison was highly thought of and the club only let him go on loan due to Scotlands World Cup qualification?

Morrison is OK, alright, no more & no less. Will never be a 'big player' for the Rangers. If we get a 'fair' offer for him we should consider it very carefully.

I’ve always thought the best thing about him is his passing. He probably missed his chance with us last season when he got injured just when we needed him. Hasn’t looked as good to me since and quite a few players ahead of him now but hopefully a run of games might help.

I really rated him. Didnt he get an injury and has just struggled finding his form, before his loan spell?. Will Dunne go for decent money this summer? Cook leaving and JCS probably not playing. Morrison and Edwards as our CB's seems, to my untrained eye a good pairing for the future.

I gave up on him during our game at Wednesday. He had an absolute nightmare, including a weird 10 minutes where he seemed to have given up and just wildly booted the ball anywhere.
It was a duff effort from us all round but he stood out as someone who didn't seem to want to be out there.
When his loan was announced I just assumed that was the last we'd see of him here - he was unsettled and wanted away. Basically, it wasn't working for him or us. I can't see him starting at CB ahead of Ronnie and Jimmy and I don't think he wants to be a substitute or back-up choice so can't see him being here next season.

Thought he looked ok, but since being injured his progress has derailed somewhat.

Like his attitude in wanting to play games and try his luck to get in the frame for the WC. But before we totally write him off, lest we forget this time last year the call for Madsen to be sold was deafening and now he's our David Attenborough, our Mary Berry, our Barry Bannon....just a thought!

I rate him and I think he links up really well with Ronnie Edwards

I was disappointed to see him go out on loan to Aberdeen. Presumably he thought he had a chance of making the Scotland World Cup squad. He won't though and friends who are Aberdeen fans have said he's been mediocre at best in a team that's had a poor second half of the season

I think with Steve Cook possibly leaving in the summer (I actually hope he stays on) and with JCS being so injury prone that it would be an ideal time for Liam to return. I rate him. Think he was a bit unlucky in his last set of games but clearly a good ball player and as someone else said, he could link well with Edwards. I also think because he is good on the ball that if we lose Field he could also step into the defensive midfield space as well.

Also he's born on the same day as me! Just a hundred years later.

Never knowingly right.

Can someone tell me what particular standout attribute they 'rate' about him?

If I was to set you the same task for Cook, Edwards, Dunne or even a (fit) JCS, the answers would be very easy.

I think with Morrison you'll find it much more of a struggle.

And if the best we have for him is 'passing' (which I personally don't see either) then, for a centre back, we've got a problem.

He's the kind of player that probably looked exciting at 18 but simply hasn't developed physically or technically since.
