Going to Sheffield late June for a Def Leppard concert (my childhood music heroes 😃)

Been once before, a day trip from Loughborough Uni waaaaaaaaay back in 1997, but I guess the pub scene has changed a bit since then.

With all of them away trips to Sheffield over the years you guys must have some recommendations …

Good pubs? Best places for breakfast?

Cheers.

A nice Mediterranean café next to the Peace Gardens which is worth a look on it's own.

when we played sheffield united away this season we went to the triple point brewing/brewery.
a big pub, excellent beer garden and good seating inside.
we did'nt try the food but there was plenty of it.
we were all made to feel welcome, including other groups of qpr in there, including groups of teenagers.

15 minute walk to the pub from train station, then another 15 minute walk to the ground.

we will deffinately be heading back to that pub next season.

oh, the reason we chose that pub, which we found by chance, is because the two pubs across the road from the station were rammed we qpr double early, i'm talking just after 12 oclock.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

Sheffield Tap at the station very good.
Kelham Island great for microbrewaries etc.
Ashoka on Eccleshall Road best curry house, not only in Sheffield but probably the best on our current awayday circuit.
Thyme Cafe in Broomhill another great restaurant.
Had breakfast at Mandala on Chesterfield Road earlier this summer, looked a right state from the outside but the food was fantastic.
Mamas and Leonies great Italian for lunch in town, sit at the counter without reservation, lasagne hotter than the sun.
Good Sunday roast at Silversmiths.

Seconded on Ashoka, though their Reyht Spiceh Curreh the night before a train to Headingley was ill advised.

The Nursery Tavern opposite has legit one of the biggest beer gardens I've ever seen.

My mates live in Sharrow Vale which is pretty bougie, but the breakfast in Jonty's is top tier

Joro used to be the best value fining dining restaurant in the UK, but they finally got their michellin star so the prices have had a steep increase. But lunch is still good value for £60 given a pretty basic nandos cost me £35 last night

The Frog and Parrot pub, which used to serve the potent Roger And Out ale (not sure it does anymore).

Poll: How old is everyone on here?
