Hammersmith are actually reaching out to more rental companies - the only borough to do so. I wrote to them earlier suggesting they move all the humans out and turn the borough into one great bike park. They haven't as yet replied.

Lime bikes, Forest bikes, ect. are a really handy way of getting around a traffic ridden city quickly. Need appropriate regulation to ensure they're not just being dumped in the road and blocking the pavement, but they'd be a massive loss if they were banned. What does need cracking down on are the bikes that are illegally adapted to have a throttle rather than pedal-assist, that are used en-masse by Deliveroo/UberEats drivers, and aren't speed limited. They are unlicensed and uninsured motor vehicles and should be treated by the police as such.

Richmond & Hounslow boroughs have banned Lime Bikes now and only contracted the other providers. Really frustrating as a rider that we don't have a London-wide agreement - Limes are commonplace in Ealing where I live, but if I need to nip into Chiswick I've got to change bike. https://www.mylondon.news/news [Post edited 4 Jun 10:49]
