Probably because Infantino has most of the minor/developing football countries in his pocket, he doesn’t need Europe, their opinions or their votes. He can totally ignore Europe and as long as he’s chucking money elsewhere, they’ll keep voting for him which will keep him in office.

I said this during the World Cup. UEFA on its own has the power here. FIFA is finished if it leaves. And it should leave. FIFA can't be reformed, it needs to be shut down and Infantino and his cronies flushed.

Kerry Packer though ended up with what he wanted all along, the exclusive broadcast rights to Australian domestic test matches hence why WSC ended after two seasons.

Also worth reading the David Yallop book on FIFA, How They Stole The Game. Published in 1999, the corruption was already awful back then. I suppose now it's the same but only the numbers have got bigger...
UEFA is far from perfect, but it should leave FIFA. The TV/sponsorship money at the WC is mainly about European countries + Brazil and Argentina. That will even more be the case once Messi is retired. And as we have seen with players torpedoing their chances of being selected for their national sides by going to play in Saudi, and previously China, a lot of players will value the money, competition, and prestige of playing in the top European leagues over the chance of playing international football. So, if FIFA ended-up banning most Brazilian/Argentinian/Uruguayan players from international football due to playing in Europe, then their World cup "product" would be even more diminished.
The Euros is generally a more interesting competition anyway. Just hold that every couple of years if European FAs are concerned about finances. Infantino is an even bigger cun t than Blatter, which seems remarkable. 100% Fu ck FIFA.

It's creation involved a split with the Columbian football federation and FIFA subsequently banned it.
As they were recruiting players without having to pay transfer fees, FIFA wanted a solution and eventually the parties all came to terms, with all the foreign signings having to leave within a specified period of about three years.
I think this would be different if UEFA decided to boycott the World Cup or pull out of FIFA. UEFA would hold the aces and could play the Euros every two years if South America stayed in FIFA. There may be less revenue but there would be less teams to share it.
The big clubs might lose their overseas money making, the TV money may go down and players wages could reduce, which might mean in financial terms the gap between haves and have nots is narrowed a little.

Europe has the wealthiest leagues, clubs, and players but UEFA doesn't own any of that.
If the football world starts fragmenting and UEFA unilaterally decides to boycott FIFA you could soon find the top clubs and players saying hang on that's going to cost us money. Who are you to decide that?

Broadcaster DAZN paid USD1bn for the rights to stage Infantino's World Club cup or whatever it's called. No one else bid. A month later, the Saudis bought a 10% stake in DAZN for USD1bn. Enormous coincidence. They then broadcast it for free. Makes sense.

Well he's already changed the statutes to allow himself to run for another term (as has Ceferin at UEFA, tbf). The only way of ousting him would be for the associations not to vote him back in at the election.
Problem is, the stupid associations always vote where the money's coming from. It's not Infantino's money to distribute across the world of football but he controls the purse strings. Associations fear reprisals that will impact their own gravy trains if they vote against the incumbent - which is why imposing term limits was a good idea in the first place.
