Has it ever happened before...
Eight different goalscorers also and not one of Kone, Burrell, Poku or Vale on the scoresheet. I know they are only friendlies but a lot of the young guys can be very proud of the contributions they have made.

I suspect when back in the day when league games were played on Xmas Day and then the return fixture played on Boxing Day with some real hefty scores for both teams it may have happened. |  |

I vaguely remember a Christmas period (1968?) When we played Rotherham and Plymouth at home. 6-0 and 4-1 as I recall. [Post edited 1 Aug 21:21]

Plymouth was away on Boxing Day (1-0 Marsh penalty) followed by Plymouth at home on the Saturday, with Rotherham the next Saturday.
It's not Rangers related, but I do know some Ipswich fans who saw 21 goals on Boxing Day 1963 - West Ham 2 Blackburn 8 then Fulham 10 Ipswich 1. Both in the first division. | | | |

on a slight tangent, many years ago I went up to watch Everton v West Ham with an Everton supporting friend which Everton won 6-0 and the next day we were at home to Crystal Palace which we needed to win to avoid relegation which we also won 6-0 (great day!) - I am pretty sure it was the same weekend anyway, must be pretty rare two 6-0s in a row in competitive fixtures. | |
