While in the holiday season and all that.

I tried an Aperol Spritzer for the first time the last month and now I'm a huge fan. Just started my second bottle of Aperol at home. Pretty easy one to put together which also helps.

My knowledge is scant but I do remember the Sidecar - really citrusy.
I may buy some ingredients and make some up.

For me, it’s a Negroni. My favourite by a mile, but not too much ice, please.

Toast - regarding the Aperol ( big favourite of my wife) you might want to try the Limoncello version. It’s rather refreshing.

If anyone ever goes to Peru, have a Pisco Sour.

Best cocktail in the world.

Negroni for me too, but I had a Dark & Stormy at a wedding a couple of weeks ago and it was dynamite.
Honourable mention for G&T with a dash of Pernod to give it a tang and take a little sweetness out of the tonic.

When my girlfriend - later wife took me to meet her parents, her dad said “ pleased to meet you, can I get you a drink ? - beer, whisky, wine, gin, brandy, vodka, rum ?”
I said “ yeah, but mix 'em up”

Sorry lads but Negroni’s are the devils vomit - horrible stuff.

I’m not one for cocktails but years ago got introduced to a Sgroppino whilst in the sadly long gone Toppo Gigio’s in Soho.
This thing was amazing and is basically chilled vodka, Prosecco and lemon sorbet in a glass.
We sank ‘em long n hard and to this day I’ve never been able to replicate them myself or find anywhere that does them (despite asking every time I go to an Italian restaurant).
I do have a sneaky feeling we were drinking Grey Goose, champagne and crushed ice though.

That aside shorts don’t really agree with me - that’s why I don’t like our midfield (!!!) - but I can drink Ameratto over ice for hours, especially at Christmas.

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

A mate and his wife had a cocktail in Mayfair on Sat night and ordered an Old Fashioned and a Strawberry Dacquri. It was dark, didn't really look at menu and the waiter said do you want the 'Vintage' to which my mate said yeah, I'm a good Vintage why not........when the bill came £24 for the old fashioned and wait for it.......£850 for a Vintage Dacquri 😂 it was a 100yr old rum. They even added £113 service charge 😂😂

He obviously was misold and refused to pay, he ended up paying for a regular £24 Dacquri. Still has the £988 bill which will be framed.

Funnily enough, I got myself a bottle of limoncello at Lidls during their Italian week a few months back. Opened it once and had it over ice and didnt particularly enjoy it, so its been sitting in the fridge ever since. I might give your advice a go. 👍

I don't normally do cocktails. A fine malt whisky is my tipple.

However, a while back a friend introduced me to an espresso martini. Dangerously delicious.

Off the booze for a while now , and this isn’t really a cocktail but always a fun in holiday

It’s called an iceberg , two thirds of a pint of lager , tall glass , topped off with a frozen margarita , best drink in the world keeps the beer ice cold , dash of line and what ever else they chuck into it
Make sure you tip the barman well first day as they hate making them

Last if lol inclusive holiday in the maldives years back got chatting as you do to other people and we suddenly found ourselves in a afternoon drinking session in the pool 4 couples two from villa who were a nightmare two West Ham myself and the missus and two from Southampton , from around 130 to 6 pm we managed to down a 120 drinks between us , beer cocktails you name it barman said he had never served so many drinks to so few people over that period of time . One of the reasons why I don’t drink anymore

Poll: which is your favouite foot

Fairly classic Jazz Age cocktail, I'd have thought - sort of thing I'd expect Berrie Wooster to drink in an American Bar on the French Riviera.

Apart from gin and tonic, which I think is technically a cocktail, I quite like a gimlet ("half gin and half Rose's lime juice and nothing else" - Raymond Chandler, The Long Goodbye) or a French 75 (as drunk by Humphrey Bogart/Rick's French ex-girlfriend in "Casablanca" and so-called due to having a kick like the 75mm howitzer used by the French Army - and later the US Army - in WW1: one part gin, two parts dry champagne, dash of lemon if you like.)

Aperol Spritz is great for summer. Moscow Mule, Long Island Iced Tea and Mojito are personal favourites. I do prefer the larger volume types in general.

One of the best parts of our trips to Bali are the very well priced cocktails everywhere (also the 2 for 1 happy hours).

Fairly classic Jazz Age cocktail? I don’t want to out myself as not being in the mainstream LFW demographic, but I wasn’t around then.

Sloe-secco or Pro-Sloe for Xmas.

Remarkably strong and better tasting alternative to Aperol Spritz.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
