I almost daren’t ask but has anyone got any idea as to why WLS haven’t posted any QPR related news in nearly three weeks? They didn’t cover the Kamara signing at all. All rather odd!

I was going to say, kids having a sulk, but that’s much better.

There is a precedent. On 18th April 1930 the BBC did announce, ‘There is no news today’ …

Surely they've got staff writers/plans to cover for such things/stagger holidays?

It's not as if there's no content being produced about our three noisy neighbours either.

They had quite a few tech issues recently so probably due to that

Probably spending too long on a club from SW London and their annual spending spree buying up a couple of oaps.

For 'tech issues' you mean, they've got injuries!!!

As I mentioned, it hasn't stopped them putting out stuff on the other lot. So is it a specific type of injury, sorry, tech issue?

He’s not posted in a personal capacity on X for the same period of time but, as has been stated, there are other staff at WLS and Fulham, Chelsea and Brentford have all been covered in that period. I hate to say it but it smacks of some kind of falling out between WLS and the club.

When using the site about a month ago it just wouldn't load and on X they mark the links as unsafe so something went wrong

Dave Mc has fell out with the club plenty of times and still reported on them, I don't think it would make much difference. It's not just the club you get info from it will be agents, other clubs etc

All other teams are being reported on but perhaps only Dave does QPR. Strange that if true

In what planet do budgets for that exist on a local free sheet? Hard enough for nationals

Why does everything have to be a goddamn conspiracy.

I'm sick of the tinfoil hat wearing, the in-fighting and the baseless nonsense on here lately.

A consistent theme in this thread is how they're still churning out stuff for other clubs. So, earth would appear to be a valid answer to your question.

Given a lot of what they write is often reporting something, as opposed to a deep dive/breaking news/a pulitzer expose, then surely it's not beyond the capabilities of another reporter to merely pen a few words announcing, 'QPR sign Kamara' for example.

If DMc is on holiday, isn't the other one who takes ages to ask a question still there?

This isn't rocket science required to take us outside our solar system.

How many other reporters do you suppose they have? Maybe just a one or two man band. No one pays for the content so its entire revenue is advertising which wont be much. Quite simply the likes of Chelsea have a massively higher following / readership so oc that will be prioritised.

Ok, so let's think about it.

IF (big if) WLS has fallen out with the club, you think they're refusing to report on the club because what? refusing to give publicity? To one of the top 45 football clubs in the country?

Let's say for a second that's true- what do QPR lose exactly from not being written about by (and I mean this with the greatest of respect) West London Sport?

Man (DaveMc) / people (WLS staff) go on holiday, write less about the club than usual is much more likely the explanation here. It doesn't take a genius to realise that with the amount of sh1tty ads on WLS it isn't exactly printing money. Staff will need to be paid for everything they write, typically.

Also WLS's readership is overwhelmingly QPR fans so they really would be shooting themselves in the foot by refusing to report on the club.

They had another guy on their pod with Dave Mcintyre and Kevin Gallen recently.

Can't remember his name but has done a couple of pods for them since Ian McCullough not been on. He knew a bit about the R's so surprised he has not written the odd report in Dave's absence.

Anyhow, anyone going on holiday now, the Med or the Caribbean not as appealing as Antarctica currently ie to get away from the extreme heat we are experiencing here constantly.

I know you're pissed so won't pull your trousers down here too much but there hasn't been a WLS podcast / Youtube since May 11th so "recently" doesn't cut it. That's almost 3 months ago lol.

James Paterson was his name. He also did the monthly Hoopsah podcast with Conor. Came across as nice lad though he did suggest Mbengue could play right wing last season which I thought was an interesting suggestion 😂Not sure he’s been seen or heard since!

When i said James Paterson was on it recently. Recently to me is two or three months ago. Anyhow, hope they start doing them again soon.

The podcast i miss the most is Open All R's with Paul Finney leading and Clive was often a regular. Hope Paul is ok, as know he had some serious health issues.

That pod helped me get through lockdown with a lit of QPR content when there was no games to attend.
