| Christian Eriksen 00:22 - Feb 1 with 6494 views | CLAREMAN1995 | Does anybody else feel a bit frightened by his move to Brentford just from medical perceptive or is he back %Should he have walked away or admire his drive to get back on the horse . | | | | |
| Christian Eriksen on 02:47 - Feb 1 with 4761 views | Hooparoo | Obviously his doctor has given him the ok to return. Brentford might looking like geniuses if he gets back to anywhere near his best. | |

How do they get him insured?

| Christian Eriksen on 07:03 - Feb 1 with 4532 views | Juzzie | I think Italian FA rules don’t allow players with a pacemaker so he had to be released allowing him to become a free agent. I guess we don’t have such a rule here. I’m sure all parties will have done due diligence & thorough medicals and ultimately it’s Eriksen’s decision to continue playing and I would imagine Brentford will have covered all bases. If they can’t get insurance i would expect a stipulation on signing that should he be unable to continue playing at any point the contract terminates at that moment. | | | |

Obviously wants to be playing his football again. I read somewhere he's been training again with his home town Club in Denmark.
| Christian Eriksen on 09:05 - Feb 1 with 4209 views | Hayesender | Daley Blind plays for Ajax with a pacemaker fitted I believe. Personally I'd have my heart in my mouth every time he goes to ground, but best of luck to him | |

Given he would've been insured and had a cardiac arrest on the pitch, I'm pretty sure he could walk off into the sunset with a fair wedge. This to me says he still wants to play

You don't need to play in the Prem to play football, you can do that with your kids down the park. Or for non-league. By putting your health at risk in an elite league could be about trying to get to play for Denmark again. Be interesting to see if they pick him for international games.

Is the correct answer! I suspect the technology is quite advanced and if nothing else, it allows him to try. For that, both he and BFC should be applauded. He will literally be monitored up the wazoo and no doubt a mere hint of an issue and it would be curtains. Good luck to him!

| Christian Eriksen on 09:23 - Feb 1 with 4130 views | CopenhagenRs | As a Danish Ranger it pisses me off to see him at Brentfart. I know how good he is. But I guess that he was looking for a safe and comfortable environment with a lot of other Danes and guaranteed playing time on the pitch. He is basically a quite shy and introvert person and he is definitely not there because of the money/last pay cheque. His main goal is to get fit for the World cup and therefore he has chosen the Bees. As far as I know his contract is short term and can be cancelled with short notice. If he does well he will probably move on to another bigger club. | | | |

It's only a six-month deal. I presume if it doesn't work out, Brentford aren't stuck with him on the payroll and if it does work out, he can go and sign for Barcelona or Tottenham. We'd have given him a five-year deal
| Christian Eriksen on 09:41 - Feb 1 with 4039 views | Antti_Heinola | Good luck to him - I don't have any fears, other players play with pacemakers, and would love to see him at the World Cup and for the Danes to win it. | |

Apart from all the goodwill, he’s going to bring lots and lots of lovely data to Brentford. A match made in heaven.

Me too, even though Denmark play 75.62% of their games against Ireland, scoring an average of 23.65 goals/90.

"You don't need to play in the Prem to play football, you can do that with your kids down the park. Or for non-league." That's like saying you don't need to climb Everest, you can climb Ben Nevis instead. Professional athletes and 'driven' people need to 'do their thing' as best they can and at the highest level. Doing anything else just won't give them the same 'buzz'. I fully understand why he would be prepared to take a risk to play at the highest level he can
| Christian Eriksen on 13:55 - Feb 1 with 3343 views | w7r | I think it’s a great signing, okay a bit of a risk, but what a superb player he is. I don’t think for a moment this is about money, this is about him proving he’s still got it. Wish him all the very best and look forward to him gracing the English game again. Even if it has to be in a Brentford shirt. | | | |

Specialist Syndicates at Lloyds of London. It'll be a 7 figure premium that's for sure. Brentford can (for now) obviously afford it.
