QPR WANT NORWEGIAN FUTURE STAR According to news outlets in Norway, QPR are interested in signing Tromso striker Lasse Nordas. Lasse is only 22 yet has heavily impressed during his career in Norway so far. He has featured for the Norway U21s on several occasions netting 3. This season, he has 13 goal contributions within 28 games in the Eliteserien. He also netted 2 goals within the UECL qualifiers. Valued at £1.5million, QPR are not the only club interested. What's that Lasse? Someone's fallen down a well and you haven't scored a goal in 4 games? |

True ones please. Samuel Goldwyn of Metro Goldwyn Mayer films is offically named Samuel Goldfish. When he emigrated to the US from Poland, his actual name was Schmuel Goldfisz. The immigration officail misheard it as Samuel Goldfish which he remained for some years. Notta Lotta People Know That. |

| News Comment | Smyth’s smash and grab stuns City – Report by HastingsRanger at 11:21:52
Whilst we conceded possession, the wings and played deep, I thought it was a very good defensive display. Agree that had any of their first half chances gone in etc.. it might have been different but they didn't and I thought the commitment was always there and they kept shape. Ours is a weak team, weakened further by injuries, and has to work hard for their points and I feel they did. Bad passing on occasion but keeping shape out of possession. Varane's pass to Smyth was no accident and would have led to nothing if that goalkeeping brain fart had not happened but Smyth's ability to keep his balance and deliver was worth the rest of the dross! The front runners of Kolli/Lloyd were excellent, given their hopeless task on their own. It is a shame about the 'ageing banana' of Anderson, he looked well off the pace again. Cannot figure out what has happened here. Also, not convinced by Ashby. These are vital points, whilst a weak team is at its weakest. I am hopeful that the team can open up a bit, once some of the players return from injury. It is great playing minutes for the new lads in the meantime. However, it does look like we will know at fixture 45 again! Great report, as always. Cheers |

Thanks Clive, you and the club can now breath after another hectic 'three game week'. Results wise we have done very well. I'm just concerned with,: How long can we keep this going? Can we continue to ride our luck? Can we stop passing to the opposition? Can we avoid a lengthy poor run which followed last season? Other clubs at the bottom have changed their manager, others will follow. Some may find an improvement. Can we make the play offs? Is Remy available? |

I managed to get a pair of tickets for England’s opening game against France in Zurich for July, and the flights aren’t too bad either. The big expense though is accommodation in the city for my daughter and me. I’ve had a quick look at alternatives, but the game won’t finish until 11pm so the choices are limited. Is it always this expensive in Switzerland,or are they just bumping up the prices even more? And does anybody know of any cheaper, more affordable options for a night out? |

Thanks Clive! Yes, Morrison again excellent, and I just assume each week Nardi will make half a dozen amazing saves, after watching the "Brain numbing" first 45 against Oxford, and then this "Alamo" type defensive exhibition, I wonder are we saving it up for the return of the magnificent 3? or is it 4? Surely their are health risks for you Clive reporting this stuff every week? Are the club trying to make us consume more alcohol deliberately? Oh well, I'm sure Preston will be very different. Thanks Clive! |

' Cifuentes’ team no longer wants to be open and expansive, it no longer even seems to want the ball – 30% possession this time to go with 37% in the recent Norwich and oxford wins, 32% in the draw at Watford and 25% at Burnley. ' ..the skill of this coaching is adapting his players...There is ZERO attacking threat in this team. Yes Field got 2 last time out, ..kudos to Marti to realizing the outlet pass is our best weapon. |
