by BlackCrowe at 12:38 9 Jan 2026

Someone just told me that premier league teams at home have VAR in the cup but that can't be right that some matches are VAR and some aren't?...bloody hope not.

Alan Barnes family post
by Barnsey at 21:52 8 Jan 2026

Hi everyone, my name is Jonathan, and I’m Alan Barnes’ stepson and a lifelong rangers supporter.

We’ve seen the kind words and tributes beginning to circulate here, and as a family, we are deeply moved by the love shown for Alan. As many of you know, QPR was his life, and the R's community truly was his second family.

Alan passed away on Wednesday at the age of 78. While we had hoped for a little more time before sharing the news publicly, we understand how much he meant to you all.
He was a steadfast supporter for many decades, and Loftus Road won't feel quite the same without him.
We are currently finalizing funeral and memorial arrangements. To keep things organized and ensure everyone who wants to pay their respects can do so, we’ve set up a dedicated email address for updates and tributes:

Alanbarnesqprmemorial@gmail.com

Thank you for your support and for being such a huge part of Alan's life.

Arsenal v Liverpool

4-6-0 vs 5-5-0. At best, one for the purists. Haven’t Arsenal got a goalscorer hidden on their bench?

(Note, this was recorded Wednesday evening, before the monumental injury update and us signing Handsome Ron...)

RND - Whats occurring ??
by numptydumpty at 17:47 8 Jan 2026

i really would like the club to sign this guy.

As i understand it, he is on a season long loan.

Sheff Utd have picked up in form, but clearly didnt rate him highly enough to have him compete for a place in their squad this season, but have there been any indications seen by anyone that they will recall him this window or may want him back after a season here.

For me any fee £2m or under is a very solid investment. He is exactly what we need as a full back, solid, reliable, seemingly good injury record and does what a full back does and occasionally overlaps with our wingers too.

We seem to have had terrible trouble getting decent full backs and a la Edwards if the deal was right, i would be more than happy to see this guy signed permanently.

What do others think ??

Hamer has had his contract term extended
by numptydumpty at 15:02 8 Jan 2026

Although, it does not say for how long.

So not sure if its for a couple of months, till the end of the season or even beyond that.

Again communications that are economical with what is being revealed.

My personal view after this is, surely one of Nardi / Walsh will now be attempted to loane out or be sold, and personally speaking, I would welcome an expected new number one signing who is intended to be the first choice goalkeeper, all being well.

Find that number absolutely unbelieveable.

Perhaps, increased when players such as Saito or Yang join us and people from their nations follow the players to their club throughout their career rather than being a specific club supporter.

But still thats an unreal number.

Appreciate there will be many many people that will never be able to attend games, be it because of finances, their locations, their health, their age etc. And do know also some people who follow might do for lots of football clubs not just their own.

But surely with such levels of interest in the club, if we were to ever get into the premier league and manage to stay in there for a couple of years at least, could we then still have reasons to believe a new stadium with an increased maximum attnedance possible, that given this potential could correlate to an increase in our fambase that could fill an increased stadium.

Obviously, am sure that is clearly the dream, and its possibly a pipe dream, but 800 thousand is a mad number !!!

Could then do well with a 30 thousand capacity stadium in the future.....
