All I see since Christmas is time wasted. Appointing a man who's preference is reported to be the very tactics which I believe took us down, seems madness.
All new managers bring their own 'baggage.' If Martin is as reported, it will be months before SR act. Months of player and supporter discontent. Next season may be wasted in its entirety.
Soon, with departures, we should have a clean slate. New players with a fresh attitude and hopefully the likes of Alcaraz driving us forward. That could be lost if Martin's system is inflicted on the players. We could end this season in the same position we are in now... or worse. |

I can't see us turning down an extra £10m anyway, but it would be great to keep him if we could.

We have a few players who we should move mountains to keep and are plenty good enough to be wanted in the PL. The two stand-outs are Alcaraz and Sulemana who should already have been approached to enhance their contracts and persuaded to stay. If this is being delayed because of the Martin situation, it's another huge mistake! |

With the best will in the world it's hard to stop the loud sighs/groans if the crowd sees bad stuff on the pitch. It's an automatic reaction. Same in reverse... more an upsurge in emotion than the intention to be unsupportive.
Somehow we've got to try to treat Jones and the team as separate issues. Easier said than done in practice. |

Re the article, we don't know how much is 'agent speak' but I agree many names mentioned are in positions which shouldn't be a priority.
It's highlighted by the 'background noise' about youngsters we are targetting, although I guess that's just a separate ongoing process?
As for Perraud StRipper, I think he's a good player who should be a first choice 90% of the time. |

We were spoilt in the Fonte/VVD era. Compared to them JS made far too many mistakes, even more than Yosh. Since then We've wasted a fortune trying youngsters alongside Bednarek and I've come to think that he's not that bad and clubs need decent back-ups like him, happy to do that job.
The youngsters haven't worked and though Sali and BK have potential, the back line is still not stable and error ridden. Stubborn Ralph has ignored the clamour for an experienced Leader which is a disgrace.
We wouldn't miss him but that's no criticism, good luck to him I say! |

I disagree with another striker loan. If Delap or another doesn't work out we're stuffed next season anyway. If he succeeds, City will take him back or he'll be 'picked off' by someone else?
