I'm more inclined to agree with LBlock on this one. Players value depreciate when they are in poor form or not in favour. The original 3m is only relevant if they kick on. However the sell on clause owed to his previous club WILL be a factor when negotiating his fee |

‘The end of the month’ is what JS said in his most recent update a few weeks ago. Of course in the same update he said RND had to be ‘carefully managed’ because of his injury history and he has since played every minute of every match, so make of that what you will. |

Obviously Frey and Kone cannot play up front together. That has been tried unsuccessfully already this season. However I think both Kone and Burrell need a breather, especially the latter. They were both living on absolute scraps yesterday. But Kone couldn’t make a single ball ‘stick’ and on a couple of occasions when Burrell had a chance to get away from a couple of defenders and I was shouting ‘go on’ at the telly, he was easily dispossessed. Neither stopped trying to their credit, but they both looked spent. If Frey plays it HAS to be as an out and out striker. That’s his position and where he was most effective last season ; Not just in scoring vital goals, but his work rate was phenomenal often providing a one man press on the oppo defence. It is pointless playing him any deeper or as a ‘10’ because he doesn’t have the pace and it is too easy for the CB’s combined with the CM’s to play around him. If Chair is fit then you could start Frey up top with Chair behind him. If Chair is sill out, you could play Bennie behind Frey. Then later when Frey was spent, push Bennie up top and play Kone for the final 20 or so.
I think Dembele should start on the right, with Smth on the left. Saito’s form (bar Leicester) has been poor for some time. Introduce Poku on the hour mark for Dembele. Wouldn’t surprise me to see Field start instead of RND (if he is still here) as the latter looks shattered (at one point yesterday the ball bounced off his right foot and he had to take a yellow to stop a dangerous counter-attack) which the quickest way to pick up a serious injury. |

Rather than ' ah sure they all struggled today' I would look on it as a missed opportunity to close the gap on Ipswich Middlesbrough Milwall etc . Or it would be if we were serious play off contenders |

Embarrassing performance. Made them look like 70' Brazil. I said after Leicester that we had to no longer accept 'Norwich' performances - then we produce this. Part of the blame on JS as we were back to trying to play out from the back ( on the rare occasion we had the ball) which we clearly obviously and patently (without JCS) cannot do. If we perform even close to how we did v Leicester we should blow them away. If Madsen and Varane can't boss Brazil and whoever, then we are not and won't be realistic challengers for a play off spot. 0-3 |

I fully recognise that Madsen is playing really well this season (although I felt his form dipped prior to `Birmingham and he was bossed - as they all were tbf - by Middlesbrough) and Saturday was his best game yet. BUT he has not yet earned the right to be spoken in the same breath as Chair. When he consistently performs over a longer period of time than 20 odd games (like 2 seasons if we keep him that long) then I will accept his contribution as being significant.
For me, Chair is ‘Mr QPR’ - consistently performing at a very level year on year, for several years. We missed him sorely last season and his impact on his return was immediate. Of course he doesn’t always play well, but he never hides (unlike Madsen last season) and never shirks responsibility. I am a huge believer in loyalty (which why I feel Frey deserves more respect than he gets) and for me Chair deserves all the credit in the world. One area I do agree that Madsen is more effective is set pieces and he should stay on them even when Chair is on the pitch. |

As far as I am aware he only played for 7 minutes. Set up the Portsmouth goal but 'felt his hamstring ' in doing so and came off as a precaution. Expect him to be fit for us though |

We have seen Mbengue stifle some decent wingers in the past few weeks with his physicality and all action performances. One man who regularly gives us problems and gave poor Jimmy a torrid time last season is Josh Murphy. Would love to see our favourite 'mad lad' put Murphy in his pocket. |

I believe his time will come IF he good enough to oust Dembele (skill) Smyth (workrate) and Vale (vision) We really are very well stocked in this dept. Add in Saito, Chair and Kolli on the left and you have six players vying for two places |

Dear me, we play well for one (1) game without him and suddenly he's surplus to requirements. 'Standards' has been a buzz word on here this season. Nobody epitomises high standards on the pitch better than Chair. It wonderful that we now are no longer totally reliant on him as we once were. ƁUT he remains our best player and fist name on the team sheet when fit. [Post edited 22 Dec 15:22]

We find it so hard to keep a clean sheet. Yesterday was a classic example; I know it was a rebound from a penalty but Jimmy was so slow to react and Hamer was very slow to recover to what was a very mis-hit shot. Twice Nardy deserved clean sheets. (Especially v Birmingham) and they never happened. Our GA column is poor for a team on the cusp of the playoff places. |
