The guide mentioned that some people prefer to wafch the match on the TV whilst sat in the box which he couldn't understand why but alcohol may indeed be the answer to that question. |

It was a big birthday for me in June and my girls bought W12 hospitality and a stadium tour for me. We picked the Preston game mainly because it seemed a safe bet to avoid a time change for TV.
Without wishing to appear big-headed I've been fortunate through work to do quite a lot of corporate hospitality, but in my 50 odd years of watching Rangers I've never been behind the scenes.
Firstly the stadium tour was very good. Think it was £15 so pretty good vfm. Apparently the same bloke - Alan does each tour, local guy and very knowledgeable, seen Rangers at White City and had lots of stories. Really enjoyable and highly recommended - changing rooms, Amit's corporate box, media room, out to the dugout amongst other stuff.
Bumped into Andy Sinton at the end of the tour, what a great ambassador he is. Clearly he had a busy schedule hosting the 67 players and family before commentating duties but nothing was too much trouble for him, had time to chat to everyone, pose for photos etc - absolute credit to the club.
The W12 restaurant was very enjoyable, relaxed and quite informal. Food was good and the staff were very friendly, attentive and chatty. Rodney was a special guest and was in good form - typical Rodney forthright, confident and with a good story or two - certainly no shrinking violet!
Seats were in the Central area behind the directors and leg room was good! The game has been described well enough elsewhere, all i can say is that Smyth's goal was celebrated as wildly in that area as elsewhere in the ground. We sat behind Lee Cook and his family.
After the game the restaurant was open for about an hour and Paul Smyth came in to talk about his goal, joked he'd already shanked one shot and came across as a really decent, humble and modest bloke.
Appreciate the W12 is not a cheap option, but anyone looking to do something special then I highly recommend it. The second half was probably the icing on the cake.

At the time I thought it was a red and to ge fair to the ref (who I thought was poor) he saw it once in real time and got no help from the lino. The Preston players reaction didnt help.
It was an unwise challenge from Cirkin anyway. Overall I've no real complaints.
With the follow through and studs up I'm not even sure VAR (heaven forbid) would have overturned it. |

I don't get to many games in person but will liaise nearer the time if that is ok.
We did meet at Hull a couple of years back (I think) when I bought a spare ticket you had. |

Chaps/ladies
I'm looking to move on my dust gathering collection of QPR programmes.
Not counted them but would guess about 100 or so. Largely dominated by the 80s, cup final year probably every home programme and a few away and then spread across other years from the 70s through to current times.
I will keep one or two for sentimental reasons (first game Coventry home in 73, cup finals, play off final etc).
Free to a good home if someone will cover the postage.

Bannen outstanding, best player on the pitch by a country mile, 9 for me.
His leadership role at the club with everything else that is going on deserves a lot of praise. He could have bailed out like others but stayed and is holding a lot of things together.
Strange atmosphere yesterday, sad to see the impact of what the off field stuff is doing to the club. |
