I'm not too fed up after today's game but it did throw up a number of questions to which I'm not sure I have the answers.
Did today's experimental line up and formation succeed in any way?
Why can't we counter attack at pace like Brizzle did today?
What can be done about the poor set piece deliveries we often produce?
Why can't we score first more often?
I'm sure we'll come good but there's still work to be done to make this team play to its full potential.

|Apparently, we have low xG|

I'm a bit ambivalent about xG but this is actually quite an interesting data analysis of our season so far: https://eflanalysis.com/analysis/efl-championship-stats-qpr-goals
It seems to conclude that we're pretty efficient outfit so far, but I must say I did chuckle at this statement: "One of the main reasons for their success is the number of goals scored by the team." Yeah, that's how football kind of works!

They're playing together for Morocco v Sudan right now

It's been mentioned a few times but I do hope Dykes game changing cameo and goal yesterday finally silences his remaining critics.
Yes, he came on late and played against a tiring opposition, but his goal - 3rd of the season - showed great skill and owed nothing to Coventry's tired defence.
He may not be the complete goal scoring striker, but what he has got is plenty good enough for us.

He seems to have disappeared again. Does anyone know anything?
|CBs on the surge|

Are we developing a new tactic? Last night we saw di Wijs surging forward from the back with the ball. Both Dickie and Barbet like to do the same sometimes.
Now admittedly last night di Wijs had acres of space in front of him when he did surge forward but all the same, with our ball playing CBs expected to play out from the back, perhaps we're seeing the evolution of a new tactic. If so, we'll need better movement ahead to make the most of it, and one of the DCMs to be ready to drop back, but I like the idea.

I do like the look of the lad, and I suspect he needs more games to really get up to speed but he does seem to drift inside too much. There were quite a few times today I felt he left his side far too exposed to a counter attack.
